I picked up a used California Light works Solar Storm 400W (363 w at wall) LED Grow Light. its a bit old but hey so am I. I used this light to replace my mars hydro 720w refactor (292w at wall). I just started flowering with 4 autos in soil 3 g cloth pots.
I didn't pay a lot for the CLW 400w. but I know I need more power in my 2x4x8 grow tent
the mars hydo light is 50% brighter than the old CLW400. I don't think that matters tho when it comes to LED.
a few days in and my plants have EXPLODED with bud site and over all growth.
My question is why is the CLW 400w that has a much dimmer light doing better than the mars hydro refactor?
The light is much dimmer! How could it?
I tried to ask California Light Works but customer service was REALLY bad. And Tech support being Rude Cocky and condescending did nothing but just flat out treat me bad.( Its really bad guys)
The mars hydro will flower but the buds are loose. I mean can the CLW light really be that much better?
I know I will be buying a better flowering light soon.
HLG seemed real nice so did Spectrum kings was also amazing. (tho this is sales I am looking for some one to take care of me after sale)
I have yet to get ahold of Rapid led
Looking for word of mouth advice for a new light from either Rapid HLG and spectrum.
PS I am really glad I didn't buy a new light from CLW ….As for CLW... I am glad your company is getting out of horticulture light sales and moving to the LED Urinal block lighting. It suits you!
