It's Friday in SoCal. Big day. Big day for Big Bertha and the Berthettes: Little Bertha and Mini Bertha Me. It's officially flowering day.
The Berthettes are at 15" and are probably looking at their last day of sunlight. They are becoming a bit too cumbersome to be taking in and out of the tent. I've had to remove the separating wall between veg and flower chambers in my tent because they've gotten so big. I'm stressing the flowering stretch because they're just about touching the walls as it is. Tomorrow comes the LED to get them settled in and in the mood to flower.
28" Big Bertha now has her darkroom. She's going to continue sunshine and be boxed up at night. The picture I'm not showing is the one where the two upper boxes are joined and sit on top of the bottom. That whole 'measure twice, cut once thing' is fine. But if you have enough duct tape you never need to take a measurement and can make cuts with your eyes closed. I've taped rags over the exhaust side of the fans to block light from coming in when they're on. 3 boxes from Home Depot: $7.14 Everything else was something I had on hand.

Sunnuva! Big Bertha got a feeding yesterday. Nutes and one night in Thebox and she freaking grew a bit less than 3 inches!

WTF G.B. A quick dumpster dive at Home de-Pot would have netting you some boxes that you didn't have to pay for....Still, gotta love your improv set-up... I had some small plants in a dish washer box in the garage for a month a while back. The plants didn't care that they were "poor" and had to live in a packing box. As long as the light was on and they were fed, they were fine.

Our local HD got tired of people stealing stuff from their back lot and pretty much made entrance impossible without an armed escort. I don't care. Ginger is a happy beard. Big is a happy Bertha.

Happy Friday to all you lot!

🤘😂, oldjarhead100 They're in Happy Frog, didn't use nutes for a month or so, Fox Farms Trip as well. Overfed with nutes (a la, not following feeding schedule online). Mixed in 2gal cans, so cut doses in half: 3-4tbsp Big Bloom, 6-8tsp Grow Big (while they were vegging), 3tbsp Big Bloom, 4tsp Tiger Bloom (currently while in flower).

Transplanted to 25's in July and they took off bud!

Since I am new to this. What s the advantage of fabric pots and where do you buy them from???

Fabric pots will prune your roots (especially when elevated to allow airflow around and under the pot) to keep them from circling and becoming root bound. If I'm not mistaken, it is due to the roots coming in contact with the air, and the roots pull themselves away.

I, as well as a friend, have purchased them through Amazon. For me, it was to buy a 6pack instead of individually at a store. I have seen them at Home Depot, Ace Hardware as well as the local nursery.

It’s also harder to overwater your plants in fabric pots.

    Hey all!
First time posting although I've been creeping everyone's grow journals, and have to say I've learned so much from all of you! Here's a small peak at my indoor squad of ladies. I wish you all bountiful harvests of the stickiest of icky!

Thank you - I have one other the same size but she is in the tent. My plants usually don't grow as big as these 3 are. Only room for 1 in the tent - well plus the other 4 that are under a month old. Sprayed them for a fifth time with milk/water solution. It's working to keep the WPM away for me.

One of the indoor girls - Sweet Tooth - topped her a couple of days ago and strategically removed fan leaves to allow those 4 branches to shoot up and at least 4 more coming up the middle. Click image for larger version

I question how quickly they will allow sun grown planting in our region. I may never see it sadly

I don't know where you are Farmall...but doesn't look like we will get anything passed any time soon either. Sigh.

Now that she has started to bud, she gets wet daily due to fluctuating weather or storms nearby. I shake the tree at night. Should I be worried about it being wet this early in flowering, when the plant gets almost all day sun and extremely dry conditions?

I am certainly glad it passed here and I can grow in my own yard (out of site of the public street). I stepped out the door to tend the BBQ in my undies, and there stood a LEO, I went own checked the fire and talked to him (he wanted to talk about a neighbor with issues). My plants right there in plane site, it was hot and we went inside with jars of weed in open site.
Now some tasty pics,,, its her 74th birthday!

Maybe five days is too soon to post. Yeah, okay. I'm a jerk.
Big Bertha is 38" tall! That's an average of two inches a day, you people! I only have another 12ish" before I have to get another box.
I'm laughing my pale, flat, early middle age ass off because I thought I would never grow a plant taller than 24".
The pots on the sill in back are the next generation.

Gingerbeard Love the health and colour of that lass mate, she is beaming

92 days in from wetting the paper towels. Anticipation ... ...

And the plant on the front right exploded and got tall. (Grand Daddy Purple on right, Super Silver in the middle and Girl Scout Cookies on the left)
