To hell with camping out in Colorado

oldjarhead100 has suggested some kind of camping meet and greet in CO. Instead I suggest a hotel in the mountains. Entirely affordable, and rustic and very close to a number of natural and unnatural wonders.

For those that enjoy the insects, and the frigid temperatures there are a number of campgrounds in the area. https://www.fs.usda.gov/gmug

And then for the tourists at heart there is Stephen King's not so favorite hotel in Estes Park. He allegedly checked out during the night. https://www.stanleyhotel.com/

Pricey for CO. I've stayed a few times during promotional specials. I am just cheap.

For the lovers of the wilderness (not a whole lot left) Lily Lake has free camping at the trail head. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/c...o/lily-lake--3

Known to some people but not to all that the famous "Blood Elevator" was inspired by the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite NP and not the Stanley Hotel in Colorado.
            Actual elevator doors.
