Is kind soil still good after being closed up in a bag

I have a few hundred dollars worth of kind soil that I purchased Last Summer, and for one reason or another had not used yet. These bags have been stored in the original cardboard box it was shipped in. The soil has been in unopened bags in this box, and none of it has gotten any air. When I opened up the box to use the soil, I saw that they looked very strange. White powdery crust seems to have been covering the surfaces of the soil closest to the plastic. Of course not being 1/2 properly read instructions on anything, I had not read the very very fine print that said to are soil out by Perforating holes in the bag. So my question to anyone out there who may know, is is this soil any good? I have left voicemails and emails with kind soil with no response. I would like to be able to use this as I am purchasing some Auto seeds, and found this kind soil works well with autos, as they have a short seed to harvest time. I hope I get some responses!

Hello Greenpassion, Open the bag and mix it up, Your soil is alive from organically breaking down. I have researched this before on the forum and is very common in bag soil from dampness. Good to grow LOL
    Good Growing !!

Thanks for your reply Colombo. Just wanted to add in though that I did open up the bags and I emptied them all out into a large plastic tote bin. The soil did not appear damp at all in fact it was quite dry. I hope that still means that it's usable and will be okay for my girls.

I have had the same thing happen and use the soil with out ant problems. Prior to drying out the soil was active in the bag. When watered again it will come to life. Good Growing !!
