I'm a first time grower and I am very excited to be a part of this discussion/community. I am doing a stealth hydroponic grow in a 4' tall box using a 300w LED light with one intake and two exhaust fans. I have a hydrometer mounted to the back wall approximately half way up. I'm concerned with the readings I'm getting. The temp is a steady 93 degrees and the humidity right now with Santa Ana winds blowing is 10%. I'm concerned about the effect these conditions will have on my grow. I'm growing an indica. Does anyone have any experience growing in these conditions?

I am familiar with Santa Ana conditions on central coast. The winds raise temps and lower humidity. Are you in flower now?
if in veg lower temps increase humidity. In flower..still lower temps to 75-80 and try to maintain low humidity. Problem with Santa Ana's is that the conditions shift daily and throughout the day and so frequent daily monitoring is necessary. With my LEDs it is a constant adjustment especially being on the central coast. Open/close ports, I seek 75-80 mid located hygrometer in temp, fresh going in and fan taking out. It is tough but be available am, mid day, and pre close if you are in flower.Indoor- Coco coir & Perlite - 5 gal Smart pots

Intake at the bottom and exhaust at the top is best for cooling. Hot air rises, cool air sinks.
Also, thermometer placement is important, you can get wildly varying readings in different placement throughout your grow space.
Does it feel like 90 degrees in there when you first open up the box?

Not really. Someone told me that my high readings might be from infrared from my LED light. I now have a small personal mister/humidifier inside the box which seems to be helping.

So, steps have been taken. Firstly, I have a single intake fan at the center of the back wall of my box and dual exhaust at the top. I now have a small mister/humidifier inside the box and a room humidifier running near the intake fan. Humidity is rising nicely. Shooting for 50-55%. Also, I am in early veg stage. We all went through that and still do. Many of us sit and stare at our plants.

Here is a shot of my seedling 🌱 that is doing well. My first one suffered from light burn inflected by my lack of experience. But I think 💭 the poor little girl will survive. Also, here is a shot of my set up. I've been closely monitoring ph, temp and humidity. With the steps that I have taken, I believe at this point ☝️ things are under control.2 Photos
