Here is the previous entry in this hopelessly disjointed adventure in horticulture.
Most recent development has to do with the fact that the weed fairy snuck in around Monday morning and sprinkled some magic pixie dust (trichomes) all over the top of my plant. It's covered. There's sugar everywhere. Some pics:
Temp is okay, but the exhaust fan is running the RH really close to 10%. Still not clear on whether that's a good thing for the plant, but it looks really happy.
The mass of blown out highlights is happening because the crystals on the buds reflect tons of light. It's hard to get pics of.
Fortunately, the stretch has stopped. Temperature measured at the top of those buds is in the mid-70's. I'm very encouraged by the bud development. It would be more impressive if I had another light, but this is what we have.
And there is some popcorn developing low on the plant. I'm wondering if I should just clip those off to allow the plant to focus on bud development up-stem. What say the experts here?
Here is a pic without the grow light on. Trying to show off the enormous pile of trichomes this thing is becoming. This pic does not do the plant justice.
Temps in the res are consistently in the high 60's with a PH around 6.2 - 6.3. TDS is running 729 PPM which seems to be okay. I still confess that I have zero idea what I'm doing when it comes to feeding that reservoir. Water usage is still running about 4 gals/week.
I'm guessing I'm 6 weeks or so from harvest. Anybody have any tips for me as this project starts to ease itself into it's last stages?
Thanks for the attention!
