Not sure where I picked these guys up but they are proving very difficult to manage. I had a really beautiful maui wowie plant and some galactic glue ladies that gotten ravaged by these little bastards. The whole grow I was thinking there was a ph problem or something wrong with my water. After changing reservoir containers and such there wasn't any change in symptoms. Also checked my ph probe to make sure it was dialed in and it was. The lower buds were really funny looking and leaves were all turning yellow and curling starting from the bottom and working it's way up top.
Now I had a healthy looking clone outside the grow room and it was time to bring it in and start going. After about a couple weeks that plant started getting the same symptoms. Same water and everything before bringing into grow space. So then I wiped the yellow from one of the leaves and thought it was some kind of mold. When I busted out the microscope and started looking around I was thinking this is some wired looking mold and then I seen it. THINGS WERE MOVING!!!!! WTF!!!! Thousands of them within a small amount of time on just one plant. Looked and the other ones had them too.
Now the next step was cut everything down. The Maui was 2-3 weeks away from harvest the others were further out but cut it all and threw it away. The next day the grow rooms all got a bath of bleach water and there was nothing going on for just over a month. Got a couple teenagers from a friend and sprayed them down good several times and kept a close eye on them. After about 3-4 weeks another friend gave me some clones and I started some seeds. The teenagers are now ready to be harvested with no bugs on those but started seeing them on the clones I had gotten from my friend. Now mind you he did not show any signs on his plants at his place. But what is weird is that the plants that were started from seeds didn't have any bugs on them until they were moved into the room next to the ones with bugs.
I've tried diatomaceous earth, green cleaner, spinosad and iso alcohol mixed with water and the bastards keep coming back. Anybody have any luck treating these bastards?
