    Looks like bug in newsletter may be a type of asassine bug. They eat other bugs

    It's a squash bug. And they are very destructive to plants. The lay eggs on the stalks who then bore in and eat the soft interior killing the plant.
    You may win the race, but you pass all the best things in life on the way.

      Sorry I looked again you are right it is an assasin bug. They look identical except the assasin bug has the long snout and squash bugs have 2 antennae. My bad

          We call them stink bugs Brown_marmorated_stink_bug If this is what it looks like.

            I used to get the squash bugs, stink bugs, assasine bugs, and kissing bugs mixed up. But all are different.

            I do know they are a pain in the ass, especially in the fall coming into the house, sheds, any where the little f%&^s can hide. Never had much of a problem in the garden though. Hope I never do ! Good Growing !!
