Is This Too Much Light? - HELP

I changed from 1000 watt HPS to eventually wind up with two King LEDs, 1500 watts each, full spectrum, UV & IR. My grow area is
currently 6'x4'x7.5'. I use individual 8 gallon clear plastic storage boxes and use the lids as catch-trays for the drainage Manufacturer says light s/b approx 44" above, which is where I initially hung them. The 6 clones seemed to stay short, squat and very bushy. i raised the lights to the max which put them about 65" above, hoping to make the clones stretch a little; that didn't work. Nodes are close to each other. Currently growing two hybrids - Sour Bubba and Axilla approx 6+ weeks in veg. Sour Bubba is a 50-50 split between sour diesel and bubba kush, sativa and indica. Axilla is an 80/20 split that I don't have the specifics on right now. The plants are extremely healthy. I've been growing successfully for over 10 years now; no expert, but I do know my way around. These things don't even respond well to training and require substantial defoliating; otherwise the leaves are so large and dense that no light gets past the canopy. I've been successfully defoliating for years, so I don't feel they were stunted. In flower stage for 1 week today and they look the same as they did last week. Temp and humidity are no issue, conditions are perfect.
    TWO QUESTIONS:
    (a) Too much light?
    (b) Does the clear plastic container have any effect on the plant's roots, possibly causing some stunting?
    Anyone have any thoughts here?

I’ve seen someone on the site start seedlings in clear plastic cups to show root growth, but never thru the entire grow, I think mold would form on clear plastic inside container, roots don’t like light besides. The roots would shy away from edges, can the container b covered on the outside to see? A difference.

Thanks for the response. Fortunately mold has NEVER been an issue. Humidity is always below 55% veg, 35% (and lower) flower. I had 10 gal clear bins before and had spray painted the outside flat black; I’ve had a nagging thought that I s/h painted these also. BUT - the last grow, Sour Bubba, performed the exact same way, and those bins WERE painted. No thoughts on the light tho, huh?

Luv,the lights as long as distance of manufacturers recs are followed,my understanding of over-lighting is that buds turn white or bleached out.

An addl note - I drill hundreds of holes in the sides and bottoms of these bins. I make my own “air pots’”. Requires watering every 3-4 days, but worth it. Other strains have grown amazingly in these bins; problem is in working with different lights and strains....

I’m growing 5 different strains myself...... it’s a challenge alright lol

I had this problem using my 1000w with light distances etc..i found the 35$ lux meter nebula recommended took out all guesswork. $ well invested. Hope you figure it out though buddy.

Btw why the light switch? Seems like 1000w is best light i ever used.

I have several of the 45W LED panels w IR, UV, and a 600W so-called full range with same. I am starting to wonder if they aren't too much for sprouts or early cuttings, especially if too close. I rarely lost sprouts or early cuttings with MH light but putting them under the LED panel or especially 600W, they were toast. Literally. Even the little 45W panel that you would think does nothing is too much. I made a thin shade and tried hanging it from side of tent just so part of it hits cuttings.
If i get the camera way to the side of the light it will take a photo, but when you get directly in front of it and near it, the camera freaks out like in the last pic.
You can see the clone that has made roots but is not growing new leave sites yet and the node length should be stretching some. It has too much light even just with 45W.

To Farmbuck - from what source did you get the. HPS/LED equivalents? According to your figures, my two 1500 watt KingLEDs would be the equivalent of a 1200 watt HPS, which is some of the info I was hoping to acquire.
