The only thing I'm worried about at this point is figuring out how I can change this reservoir given both plants are absolutely massive and topple when they're not tied down/supported.

      Any thoughts/suggestions?

Hey oc, looking frosty! I might get some negativity for this suggestion: you could just pour in fresh noots without removing the old stuff. You could use a power siphon like Nebula shows in her tutorial. But I stopped draining my tanks a few grows back. I haven't had any problems.

Hey DingusKhan thanks for suggestion. I think that may be my best option.

Sorry I check in so sporadically. But I'm glad I can be of some help. My last grow, my plant got pretty stupid big, I was refilling so frequently, there really wasn't much to siphon off. So I quit trying. I was using mega crop at the time.

How are they looking? Should be close?

I'd say, from the pictures that you need a week for cloudy. Can see a lot of clear in some pictures, but you are in the window.

Gorgeous! Sticky! Purple! Very nice job, OC. I'm with Mr.furley you got a little time yet for what many of us would call "perfect": a little cloudy and amber, but still a lot of crystal clear. You might be ready to do some staged harvest in a few days to a week, but not all of it. I sometimes cut down my plants in 3 passes, about a week apart.

        #35
Thanks DingusKhan I'm getting pretty excited. Stickiest bud I have ever seen and it smells amazing!

I really like the idea of a 3-stage harvest. Anything special I should do to prevent the plant getting shocked/stunted? Assuming that's why you do about a third every week?

Got restless and clipped a smaller stem a few days ago. Looks great and smells amazing after a few days drying 👍

Decided to harvest good majority of my smallest plant as I was able to see a couple amber trichomes on most developed buds:

Click image for larger version Name:	20190520_213107.jpg Views:	1 Size:	2.88 MB ID:	311728

This plant was flipped to flower one week earlier than others and provides me a chance to learn/make mistakes drying and curing without risking entire crop.

Buds were wet trimmed and hanging upside down in a pitch black tent where RH floats from 52-58 and temperature is around 20C. I will post a pic of the various colas later today. Feel free to "weigh in" with your thoughts on how much I'll yield (bad dad joke intended).

Planning to harvest the rest of this plant (1/4) and the other plant from same tent (2/4) this weekend.

3/4 and 4/4 are my two prettiest and most dense plants (the ones I take pics of usually). They may get 1/3 harvested this weekend. But really I'm so in love with how they look that I know I will have trouble cutting them down/may let them go another week.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Above plant dried in 3 days and produced just over 95 grams of premium trimmed and dry flower, as well as an additional 40g of larfy buds and sugar leaves. Hopefully the (larger) plant from same tent will make it average out to >4oz per plant.

Here's a shot of the last jar before it was put away to cure:

Also chopped down 1/3 of my nicest two plants last night as I started seeing a few amber trichomes on most of the highest buds:

            It was a bittersweet moment.

Harvesting majority of second plant from first tent tonight and will likely harvest majority of other two plants this coming weekend.

Thank you to everyone who helped me make it this far. Part of me is a bit disappointed in the yield from first plant but I keep reminding myself that it was my first grow and I learned a lot.

Yeah so maybe I didn't do so bad after all. I know I really like anything with GSC in it and ok if it's a quality vs quantity thing.

Thanks for listing some of the high yielders. I had WW on the list for future grow but first time hearing about the others.

Try blue cookies (blueberry x GSC) if you can find it. The yields were much better, but no reduction to the potency or flavor we all go crazy for.

All 4 plants dried and cured worked out to 439g of good quality bud --- 120-130g from one particular plant is the best i have ever smoked hands down -- which is about 0.69g per watt if I did the math right (630W). That doesn't include 4x 1L Mason jars jammed full of trim and larfy buds I was too lazy to trim.

While this is slightly under the two goals i had for myself (at least a pound or 1g per watt) I'm happy.

And clearly I learned something because I'm somewhere around a week or two into my 2nd hydro grow and things are going much better.

Not going to do a detailed journal for these girls but casually considering entering them in the auto showdown. 😉

Before signing off, I wanted to say that I wouldn't have made it this far without so many of you. Thanks for your support. This community was extra helpful for me because i struggle with a lot of anxiety and find it difficult to take on new things.

Anyways, wishing you all have great grows and an even better summer! Thanks again!

100 plus grams per plant is very good.

Start your posting on the great auto showdown - it's a great place to watch other growers - more posters the merrier.
              And great haul!
