Seedlings at 11/1 in veg since. Did a light defol. yesterday & thought it time for an update. On the left we have the super soil, given only ph 6.5--7.0 1/2 gal. water every other day. The right is Batch 64 moonshine watered to run off 2 x a week with 50% fox farm liquids 6.5 ph going in 4.5-6 run off,50%cal mag every other feed.Temp. 72-78, rh around 55% Pots are 5 gal.,Light is 315 LEC. I see Nugs & Green talkin slurry, seems to be workin for ya Nugs...YAY! Question.. why strain the slurry? and not just pour it on top? Would'nt subsequent watering's continue to leech the good stuff down to the root zone. Anyway not doing this for a a large crop but more out of curiosity I'm going to follow through with plain ol H20. Think I'll switch the flip to flower on New Years eve. Wadda ya think ?

I think fantastic! Love that perfect star. What a great job you have done mainlining. Such a flat canopy. I am really impressed!!
BTW, is one kind soil and one FF soil? Which is which?Last edited by insomniaczzz; 12-16-2016, 02:09 PM.

Very cool primo. Good side by side. What's your filler media in the kindsoil pot?
I use the slurry per kindsoil's recommendation. I was going to top dress with kind soil but Phil at KS said to use the slurry. I didn't ask why not top dress specifically.

No, I offered the two suggestions and he said to do the slurry. No reason given. I was going to mix it into the top inch of coco. Would have been a lot easier that way, but I don't mind...
Your experiment is very telling. Thanks for doing it. Can't wait to see the final results. Please keep us posted.

Hi ya Green, the 315 is kinda pricey BUT I like it a lot, heat output- low, footprint perfect for the 4x4'-- photo quality you bet. The star is F.F neuts. 50% every sun. am. 50% cal-mag every other sun. "HOT" is Kind super duper soil. I let it dry pretty well and water heavier around the out side to try to get the roots to stretch and get into the good stuff. Like I said i'm not going for a bumper crop. Just want to see what the diff. is going to be.Oh and I am very happy with Batch 64 Moonshine potting soil. Which is in both pots.Last edited by PRIMO; 12-16-2016, 02:44 PM.
