SOIL How long do you flower males for breeding?

Hi just wondering how long do you roughly flower male plants for if you want them for breeding? I've been vegging them for 6 weeks now they have been flowering for 2 is it the same as females 8 to 12 weeks roughly depending on strain and is there a way to tell they are ready?... thanks... Paul ☺

That’s not a big deal for the male itself, males will continue making pollen and new sacks for longer than you need, timing is completely dependent of the female plants. You want fully matured seeds so you gotta flower you male until 6 weeks before you are planning to harvest, so let’s say you let them go the 12 weeks you remove the male the sixth week that way new calyxes won’t be pollinated too late and you get only viable seeds

Check Vader OG on YouTube. Plenty of breeding rounds in his videos and lots and lots of info
