    HYDRO hard water

    water coming out of the tap is at7.2 ph and 240 tds I adjust the ph to 5.8 to 6.0 everyday im on my 3rd week of plants under florescent light my tds in the reservoir is 879 im using hesi nutes is this a ok range for my plants most look good 1 has yellow bottom leaves but I think it might of gotten over watered or wind burn im using drip and drain is this water ok new at this

    Not a hydro guy but,

    It sounds like your doing fine, 800's is not a too high of number for ppm's just watch close for signs of tip burn and back off if you see it.

    Your plants look and health is the best indicator of what you are doing, Right or Wrong.

      hi duffman,
      im growing hydro as well, my water's from a private well.
      Baseline is 305 ppm, 7.1 pH.
      at quarter strength nutes (GH flora series) my ppm goes up to 710, pH'ed to 6.1.
      one of them is fine, the other is showing yellowy spots on the 1st set of leaves.

      have you got pics of them plants?
      GreenQube 1.5m x 3.0m x 2.2m tent
      2x CDMH 315W lights
      870m3/hr fan
      8 x 42L DIY DWC buckets, 2 airstones each

            How close are your lights? Do you have enough light?
            how do the roots look?
            how does the res smell?
