I have a question: If you remove leaves to stimulate leave growth, budding, etc, then surely you would need the same amount of nutes as usual, not less due to less leaves, to continue this development throughout the plant`s life. Granted growth in a sense stops say post stretch on a gross, large scale but buds and leaves still grow so I would argue that maintaining the same nutes post defoliation may be more necessary than pre-defoliation. What are peoples` thoughts on this?

Never weaken nutes...pick a recipe...stay with it or increase it...build them...never bring them down...unless you burn them..that's okay as well...let's you know where you are with her tolerance....then reassess and reproach...

Thanks Green....a lot of advice does advocate decreasing however I have gone along a same route as you. It`s very refreshing to find a site where topics such as defoliating doesn`t get you shot down like a Lancaster over Berlin

Plants have no choice but to grow fan leaves...healthier they are the more they grow....just because they grow all of them does not mean they need all of them....we are their parents if you will..they are our children...it is our responsibility to keep our kids hair trimmed and neat and make sure they are well nourished....we train our kids to be productive and hard working....all of these things play hand in hand with the weed plant as well....
Trim..train..feed...respect....they are alive....and closely related to us....
Blah blah...sorry for ramblingLast edited by Green75; 12-13-2016, 10:12 AM.
