Hi guys I'm using a blurple led for veg also using a white led and an hps so I'm concerned with my eyes. The blurple (marshydro) seems to really mess with my eyes. Is there a pair of glasses that anyone recommends. Also do I have to worry about the 400 w hps and the white led.

Smokesteve , yeah them blurples, are hell on your eyes, but they all are, you need eye protection for sure,
They make some good ones that do good, but they are expensive.
Double up like 9fingerleafs said, what I try to do is take my plants out of the tent or closet, so I ain't got to be around them strong lights, much, when I'm looking at em, or waterinCfls for a week or two

Yes I really need to be more vigilant on that.
Now I am out in the hot ass sun here from sunup to sundown so am pretty damn dark skinned. But has anyone else spent so much time under a 1000 watt hps or mh that you got a sun tan on your bald head or face? No idea how it can make me darker than 18 hours of full sun. Lmao

Howdy Smokesteve, I have been using CFLs for my grows and have noticed 'eye strain' from being around them. This last spring, I got new glasses and got the 'UV coating' on them. The UV coating is supposed to reduce the damage to your eyes from exposure to the UV rays from the sun. So far, I have noticed a lesser amount of eye strain from being around the CFLs and from the bright sun light. I would suggest using the UV protection (either as a coating on your regular glasses or as specialty sun glasses) when working around any bright or intense light.Smoke weed,.....grow peace!
