    Microbes in Coco

Do 'beneficial microbes' play any part in a coco grow with General Hydroponics Trio?
    completed 7 grows
what I have learned so far:
    environment maters more than nutrients
at least a dab of nutrients in every watering
effective flushing before harvest is critical to quality

Unless the coco is amended with some organics, nope.

Want microbes? There's a product called recharge that has microbes in it. Once it contacts water, it activates them.

This question is a left over, from about 2 years of trying to understand the biology of the plant. I am really trying to disregard most of my education and simply use what works, based on experience, but this is one area where I am still confused. As in the example of recharge, I don't know if it helps or not and that is my question.

I have used flora trio / coco coir/perlite for almost 3 years, plus GH Liquid bloom in flower, and last 2 grows added Terpinator. Never worried about microbes.
Each grow I start out fresh. It has worked for me
Indoor- Coco coir & Perlite - 5 gal Smart pots
        Veg-T5s Flower- Platinum LEDS
GH Flora Trio Cali-mag, Terpinator Liquid Bloom
        photoperiod feminized seeds

I was assuming that this was the case, but every time I assume it bites me in the butt. Thanks to you and Nugs.

do you use the liquid cool bloom at half strength like the trio or full strength?

You're pretty much with them or against them. I'm a strong proponent of organics, so I'm obviously with them. Just the way nature intended.

Purely observational and subjective but since I started this organic grow, I've seen colors and smelled smells I've only dreamed of in hydro. Proof is in the pudding, I will most certainly let everyone know how the end product is.

I hope I am not using a unacceptable definition of organic, but the M3 (Michigan Medical Marijuana Mix) is peat based with all organic 'just add water' medium that would be an easy way to try organic. I can highly recommend it for organic autos.

I started out being a 'all organic' guy. Not with worms in the basement, but with M3 (Michigan Medical Marijuana Mix) Peat based medium, with the blood meal, bone meal etc. The grows went ok and I got good bud, but my water management in peat moss was not good enough.
I am going to try at least one coco grow with GH trio, and a couple GH supplements. I think that having the ability to 'flush' and re-charge the medium will help me do better.

I'm currently testing the difference. First bubblelicious auto was in coco/perlite with GH nutes, now doing same strain in Kind soil/Ocean Forest. Hopefully this will give me a good sense of the different mediums and any variations.
Have to say, so far it has been a pleasure to just use water with nothing added! 😊

          Isn't it great?!?

I can't wait to hear your comparison of the same strain grown totally differently. I'm betting on the organic cannabis!

Per gal? On the GH drain to waste feed chart they use 2.5ml per gal maximum. You must be doing something right though, you grow great plants.

OzBud..I have been using the same nutrients from day one in coco coir/ perlite mix for over 2 years. I did change out my coco coir at last 2 grows..temporarily satisfied. My addition/change to LEDs was major major change. Trying to keep changes limited. ..there is a PDF Nebula made of that first episode. In that Grow I added terpinator. Did the same this last grow. This forum has peeked my interest to change things but at the same time worriesum...don't want to change out too fast on too many things since I am STILL LEARNING MY lights. Imam not seeking more simple, nor less effort..I just want to improve.
i use GWEs chart for half strength, add my Terpinator and recommended caliMajic, my pH is at a ridigd 6 to 6.1 with my tap water. Once in flower, feeding every third or fourth day..1.5 to 2 gal of feed per plant in 5 g al smart pots. I bring plants out of tent/ feed/ drain and repel ace. At the same time I LST/ defoliate..
personally I like to keep it simple. Am now versed in mixing nutrients, pH the nutrients ridigly, and go from there.
i am enthusiastic about the masters processes but at the same time seek to make incremental changes so I don't blow my crop.
