    36 H Power failure!!!!????

    Hello !
Im growing Autos in weak 6 and some seedlings.

We have a powerfailure in my whole village and won't have any electricity in 36 H from lights out.

I guess this will effect my plants alot but I wonder if the plants can survive this long complete darkness?
should I do anything special when the electricity is back on ?

Regards a very worried grower :/

Yes at least you could let them receive natural light if you can. They’re autos so they won’t stop flowering but still can be stressed

Dr.Moggs, I've had that happen before, but my lights was out closer to 60 hours, that's how long we tried to figure out that we were gone for the weekend, and it was my fault I just forgot to turn the light back on after watering them,
These autos were about 30days old, and when we got back, they looked about like they did before we left, just drooping a little,
When I turned the light back on in about an hour, they looked great, like they ain't missed a beat, but mine were in soil, not coco,
Pretty sure they might not have liked it,but they didn't mind it much either.
Them autos are tough, once they get a little age on them.
    Good Luck with yours.

I dont grow rdwc, but I would worry about aeration in the water more than lights. Is that not accurate ? Just curious.

Hmm I haven't thought about this...
But that's true, this can be a problem.
However, I have a bacteriaculture in the reservoir and ALOT of air when then electricity is on.
Pretty sure the water will stay fresh...
I have reschange tomorrow and will change the res just after the lights go on again )

Yeah worst case scenario just take a couple of buckets off the reservoir and refill with fresh water

Stirring vigorously with a whisk will oxygenate the water, but will not be good for beneficial microbes.

    UPDATE !
Electricity is back and i just turned on the light.
Plants look a little tired but I think they will be okay.

however as Californiakid Suspected I have some trouble because of the water beeing still. I identified root rot....again. !

The seedlings looks really healty and got the same time of no light.

      Leaves are curling.
Some have driedand are crispand Grey.
      The plant feels soft.

The water smelled bad wich made me think I have root rot but the roots still looked fine, i have changed the resevoir, added nutrients and adjusted PH.

This is the plant right beside, it's a bit smaller but definently looks healthier. Click image for larger version

Even after her trial by darkness - her buds look good.

      Well, they ain't Feeling better....
One week since powerfailure and the plants feels compleatly stunned. They ain't growing but the buds are evolving...
Plants are autoflowering white widow and start week 8 tomorrow.

I have root issues again after the water was still during powerfailure.

some plants still looks healty but even these aren't growing.
Any ideas of what I can do ?

My feeling now is that the best I can do is to let's them grow their last 2 weeks and then just get a new grow growing... This will for sure be my worst grow

Some leaves looks white and are crispy, some cupper and some yellow.
since it's the end of their lifecycle I guess that the yellowing can be normal.

All input and ideas are appreciated. If you need a picture to see something better. Just ask me and I will upload the picture right away !

I think you have more than enough green leaves to make it till harvest. Just take real good care of her. You want to let the trichomes ripen for most potency. Keep on top of that root rot you think might be happening.
