    cut or pluck

When defoliating during flower is it ok to cut instead of pluck? Will I do damage if I cut a leaf in half instead of plucking it off? Seems it is easier to just cut to shape instead of plucking?

Unless you have a sharp thumb nail, cutting is better. I'm not sure what you mean by "cut to shape".

I choose to cut. Personal preference only. I don't think it matters how you do it.

at least a dab of nutrients in every watering
effective flushing before harvest is critical to quality

Cut - less chance for infection. And to just cut a leaf in half so it looks better? I have never done that - I guess if you left a leaf cut in half the chances for infections would increase.

some of the leaves are only half exposed so instead of disturbing too much I cut the exposed part of the leaf?
Thanks for all the feedback. Great site...lotsa brains here.

Never considered infection...What would that look like?
I am a few weeks from harvest (at least) and I have trimmed like never before.
Reduced nutes this feed and will begin flush a week from now.

Sissor those suckers off...lol. I've never heard of only cutting part of a leaf
