COCO COIR Long term storage of coco, lessons learned

I have had a large quart storage tub (rubbermaid) full of used coco/perlite mix for 8 months tucked away. It didn't dawn on me that I had completely check off the list of "bad decisions"

    1) warm.
    2) dark.
    3) moist.
    4) stagnant air

when I opened the tub it was clear by the white fuzzy mold growing on the two fabric pot on top, the inside of the tote, and the top of the Coco mix what I had done. I was for sure that ALL the Coco was dry when it was stored, but at last not good enough, it is a foot and a half deep and moist when turned.

So first off, don't do this! It needed venting.
Secondly has anyone had this problem, correct it and re-used the Coco through a grow without problems. I am afraid it's done and would be best replacing it. But just thought I would throw it out there see what the group had to say.

Not to sound silly, but for the cost of Coco and perlite I would replace it completely and start fresh after cleaning the fabric pots as best as possible. That would completely blow ass to get a grow going and seeing the mold return. Maybe someone has a grandma's secret recipe for mold removal?

I would do like Pyro said, and then toss the used coco in the compost pile. Nature will take care of it for you.
I had some compost that had gone anaerobic last year, and after a few months in the worm bin, it was good to go. It even really STUNK going in there, kind of like driving past a paper mill, then all the good microbes got a hold of it, and problem solved.
