I have had a large quart storage tub (rubbermaid) full of used coco/perlite mix for 8 months tucked away. It didn't dawn on me that I had completely check off the list of "bad decisions"
1) warm.
2) dark.
3) moist.
4) stagnant air
when I opened the tub it was clear by the white fuzzy mold growing on the two fabric pot on top, the inside of the tote, and the top of the Coco mix what I had done. I was for sure that ALL the Coco was dry when it was stored, but at last not good enough, it is a foot and a half deep and moist when turned.
So first off, don't do this! It needed venting.
Secondly has anyone had this problem, correct it and re-used the Coco through a grow without problems. I am afraid it's done and would be best replacing it. But just thought I would throw it out there see what the group had to say.
