I've been looking at all kinds of grow tents online, and I notice every single one has a fresh air port Wich is literally a big square that rips off around the floor of the tent, but what about during darkness you obviously Cant have that open at all, so how else do you get fresh air in your tent at night? is it ok to leave it all sealed up like that? Or is it a matter of getting 2 exhuast fans one for intake and one for outtake?

Lmao really? I didn't bother doing research on autflowering yet because I bought some regular feminized seeds with 0 knowledge of what I was doing! I had no idea there was so much behind growing weed. (been doing tons of research now)

I use a booster fan as an air intake which runs 24/7... there are "bug screens" on either side of the fan to reduce as much light leak as possible, haven't had an issue to date. You can also reduce/eliminate light leaks by adding a short amount of flexible vent to either end, this will block out additional light if its an issue and help direct air flow if necessary. Inside the tent I have two additional 6" fans swirling air around 24/7.

So are you saying you end up with some very minor light leak and it hasn't affected anything for you?

My air intakes are generally at floor level and my exhaust at the top of my tents, hot air rises... I also tend to attach a longer piece of flexible vent pipe to my intake and snake it along the floor, poking holes along the way, this helps to evenly distribute fresh air and then a small 6" fan promotes additional air movement.
With that being said, I have not tested for light leaks in the last few months but adding that flex vent pipe onto the air intake eliminated light leak last time I checked. Remember that most flexible vent pipe has a dark inside coating, absorbing light, so this helps the cause as well. So between the "bug mesh" and the vent piping I highly doubt there is anything for light leak, plus when its lights out in the tents, its lights out in the grow room.

That makes sense! I'll have to check out that flexible vent pipe stuff. Thanks dude
