    To flush or not??

my question is do I have to flush my plant before harvest if I’m going to just vape my herbs? I will not be combusting any plant material. If I understand correctly when I vape my herbs what is actually vaporizing is the thricombs right?? So there shouldn’t be a need for flushing? I’m asking because I’ve been flushing in dwc for a week and my leafs are still green so I would like to harvest anyways just don’t want harsh tasing herbs when I vape. Not sure why it’s still green maybe because my ph had been s little off this past week.. anyways let me know what you think or your experience with unflushed vapes buds. Thanks..

I never flush. I just give them water a week or so before harvest.

I have noticed that in the larger the city the users of restrooms, it seems, deliberately do not flush. This may be due to the fact that the competition for limited resources becomes more intense in greater density populations. Or it could be due to a higher volume traffic thus furnishing a higher commode representative sample. It goes without saying that interpersonal hostilities exponentially are on the rise in dense urban areas. And much like the monkey cage at the zoo excrement throwing is the weapon of choice. Can we blame our fellow primates though? Scrunched up in such a confining habitat must put them at wits end. On my infrequent visits to NYC I always flush, but have to get the hell out after a truncated visit of at the most three days. Yes flush to promote harmonious relations with your fellow man, and woman.

        I hope this helps!

I say, yes, flush for the highest quality you can grow.
        completed 7 grows
what I have learned so far:
        environment maters more than nutrients
at least a dab of nutrients in every watering
effective flushing before harvest is critical to quality

Seriously I always read the instructions before attempting any task. The instructions furnished by the GWE site are followed “religiously”. Like the stone tablets brought down from Mount Sinai Nebula’s explicit directions are the road to cannabis cultivation success.

Lol Im more confused than when I first asked thanks anyways to all the “PRO’S” that replied. Maybe you didn’t read clearly but like I said I have been giving plain water for a week now but I don’t see any change in leaf color. So I was just wondering since in the GWE instructions it’s says to flush for one week in dwc all while assuming your going to smoke not vape your buds so that’s why I asked. Do I need to flush my buds if I’m going to just vape rather than smoke or combust my herbs?? Either way I’ll keep plain water for maybe a couple days more than I’ll harvest I was just wondering. What up do is cut a cola and test it with the rest of the plant easy peasy..

When a hydro/DWC grower changes their reservoir to plain water, their plants literally have access to almost zero nutrients immediately. Because of that, a hydro grower should usually only flush their plant for a few days before harvest to prevent early yellowing.
