Grow Room plan. 100 grams (5-6 ounces) per week wanted...

    Hi All,

I'm looking for some advice planning a grow area.

I'm hoping to design a growing area of about 2 metre by 1 metre 2 metre high that can continously produce 100 grams dried product a week.
Unfortunately it has to stay under 10 plants.
It also would probably be LED to keep down heat and use less electricity.
I'd use hydro and carbon filters for smell and possibly a dehumid and/or CO2.
I've grown hydro before but it was 20 years ago.

I was thinking of putting a 3-4 plants on veg on top and then move them down one every 1 to 2 weeks while cloning the veg to produce new plants.
On the bottom would be 2m by 1m with may 1.5 kw of LED light and 6-7 plants.
I'd harvest a whole plant every 1-2 weeks and move one down.
Plants would get vegi for about 5 weeks and flowering for 9 weeks.
Room the grow area is in has A/C temperature control so any excess heat can be cycled through into room as long as the carbon filter stops the smell.
Possibly a dehumidifier needed inside the grow area or out.

Cost of setup no real limit.

Is what I want possible or am I trying to cram too much production into too small an area?

Ur gonna need a few mother plants and 2 big rooms to pull it off the problem is you gotta have enough experience to keep any plant problems etc away or ur time lines and harvest weights will be off.u gotta do the math u want 5 weeks veg from clone correct?if so then u need 2 or 3mothers to cycle ut cuttings on to give them time to heal u can take 4 to 6 clones from 1 mother about every 2 weeks so Keep that in mind then u gotta add wick strain and how long the flower time is maybe stick with a solid 60 dayer so i have predictability I when to harvest then u gotta start ur clones and place 2 every week to make sure u get ur required harvest cause u may only get 3 to 4 oz per plant.if ur yields are good. It's possible but it'll be hard with that plant count.of course if u did 4 mothers u could rotate ckipping 2 clones per week.never the same mother to give timeto heal.but you'll need 2 rooms minimum .

If you expect 5-6 oz per week, that is probably 2 plants a week for harvest. With a limit of 10 plants total, you need plants that will mature in 10 weeks. You will need to harvest 2 and plant 2 every week to maintain your 10 plant limit. Also, I am not aware of a good 10 week strain, but I am sure that some seed vendors will claim to have some.

On second thought, you need one plant a week that will produce 5-6 oz, with a 10 week life span for this plan to work, under a 10 plant limit. I think. (it's still early here)

what I have learned so far:
          environment maters more than nutrients
at least a dab of nutrients in every watering
effective flushing before harvest is critical to quality

Morning LM, I might be wrong, with my ciphering, but that's expecting alot, if you ask me.

Thanks Guys. Appreciate the time you took to respond.

100 grams a week looks like a stretch with 10 plant limit.

I guess you run into the problem of trying to grow each plant bigger with longer veg times then you push out your harvest time.

And the breed used would have to match the requirements perfectly.

Another take away from your comments would be that, even with my experiences from 20 years ago I'm not going to get near that target in my first grow...

              thanks again

It also doesn't help that I somehow thought 1 Ounce was 17 grams not 28 grams.
