    Mainlining....

Hello all_ I'm thinking of mainlining some of the photoperiod plants I'm going to plant soon. Going to try this with the Indica or Indica dominant strains. Planing on doing it so I get 8 main colas like in the tutorial but have seen photos where plants have been trained to produce 16 or even 32 colas! For those of you who have tried this do you know how much time will be added to harvest schedule? It seems to me that training a plant with this method to produce more than 8 main colas would add substantial time until the ladies have matured....thoughts?
Current grow_ coco based medium, Fluence LED lights, AIT, 5 gallon planters,
liquid organic nutrients by Advance Nutrients and Vegamatrix. Strains_ Exodus Cheese (feminized), Meltdown (regular) and Caesar (regular).

Every time you top her it will add time because you have to give her time to recover, maybe a week each time you top her. More tops doesn't mean more yield, those plants with 32 tops have smaller colas than a plant with just eight. my opinion and I've only mainlined twice, just do eight.

I think Green or Nebula will have the best advice. I have tried to get more than 8 colas indoors and in my opinion it's a waste of time. Sick to 8 unless you are going to use a huge pot.

I'm thinking of only topping twice to produce 4 main stems, and them with LST it will naturally produce more colas. Just defoliate as needed to keep potential bud sites exposed. Anyway, that's my plan.

That's what my plan was at first... If I top 3x to produce an 8 cola mainline then it seems that will probably ad at least two weeks...maybe more....more than 3 weeks would be pushing my time frame...I guess I could plant an extra seed for each and then only keep the strongest, fastest growing plants....In the past I've toped them just above the third node, then FIM'ed each and then used LST. Seems I always end up with 4 main colas and then another 4-6 that are about 6-12" shorter with less bulk.
Trying to keep everything as even as possible this next time. Thanks!
