    drying on paper bags

    IN paper bags...........

I've been reading up on this, as opposed to hanging the buds. Problem with my last crop was that after drying, open in the tent, all I smelled was straw. Jar curing brought back some smell and flavor but most of the fruity scent was gone.

Drying in paper bags, then jarring is supposed to preserve the flavors and odors

you get the large grocery bags and cover the bottoms with your colas or separated buds, trimmed and close the bag. The paper absorbs the moisture and releases it on the outside. you still need air circulation such as your tent setup minus the light.

Well, I don't have any bags but I do have loads of cardboard boxes. I wonder if they will work the same way. I'd leave them cracked open on top

    anyone done this?

Hey Cronk, when the checker asks paper or plastic? tell em paper please. Drop a few of these through your paper shredder and mix paper strips inna bag with your buds to assist in drying, separate paper and buds, get em inna jar and burp every couple of days, your pleasant aroma will come back to you.

hey PRIMO. thanks for the tip. you mean put the shredded paper in a paper bag? I'm harvesting tonight so no groceries before then, used all my bags for recycle. you think the boxes will work?

Yup, a layer of bud a layer of paper strips etc. I imagine about any thing breathable will work. I always hang mine.

Ive heard of people putting them in paper bags after hanging them for a while. In all the greenhouse grow sessions videos Arjan Roskam does this.I think it may be risky putiing fully wet buds in there. Could be worth an experiment.

yea ive' used paper bags an the buds dry well but quality is poor compared to proper hang an cure. they dry fast and easy to overdry them.boxes should work just keep feeling them daily an dont put in more than a couple inches deep

I store my trim and small buds in supermarket paper bag till dry, dry, than place in quart jar with a quart of everclear and freeze for a week take out of freezer and forget about it for a few mounths, after all it’s just trim.shake, and larf buds, strain all liquid through a coffee filter and allow it evaporate in a open area with good air flow what’s left is a dark thick goo.= RSO without the use of heat😎
