does growing in coco have less pest problems than soil?

just wondering what the difference is in pest vs soil and soil less.

I have never used coco, but everyone I have talked too say that there is less of a bug problem with coco. But if you treat your soil before you use it, then you won't have any trouble with soil either.

[QUOTE=DankwingDuck;n222684]I think that soil tends to have more bugs just because it provides them the environment they like to live in. I haven’t had any big issues in hydro. But I also don’t have a place for them to flourish. But I tend to see bug
issues far more often in soil then any other media.
DWC hydroponics 2.5 gal veg 5 gal bloom / GH flora trio + calimagic, florablend, Koolbloom, rapid start , hydroguard , armor si, diamond nectar, floralicous plus / 600w hps / 48x48x80 grow tent x2 / white widow / special kush #1 / 24/0 12/12. Hopes prayers and a tiny bit of luck.

        Absolutely. No question.

Coco is clean of bugs, and there is nothing to attract them.

what I have learned so far:
        environment maters more than nutrients
at least a dab of nutrients in every watering
effective flushing before harvest is critical to quality

I would suggest going coco first and work into dwc . Trust me dwc is a monster of its own and it will defeat you if your not ready for it . There is so many other factor you have to control and this will cost you some money. I love my dwc but it I also cost me close to 1000$ just to start it up and there is still things I could use to make it easier.
