I am using the 2 part Coco Canna line with Rhizo Blast, my medium is 50/50 pith/chips.

My girls are 12 days old and have been on 10% nutes for 4 days and the roots have gone crazy, I guess its working well, its all I know since this is my first grow.

        Okay, Tika

I tried to take better pics but the shiny clear cup flash reflection makes it hard.

The roots are thin and they now stick out the bottom a bit, I noticed them 5 days ago, my girls haven't increased in size up top but the roots are moving quickly the past few days.

I'm guessing another week and I will move to smart pots.

I have 3g and 5g Smart pots, I'm thinking 4 in 3g to bring home quickly and 1 in 5g to maximize.

HA! I was waiting for you two!
My day has been "pissy" at best...(my clients) you 2 broke that thread. Thanks..I am still laughing. SHOULD my seeds ever arrive I need a plan. As it is I will be without a grow(first time in 2.5 years) . January germinate / veg til March 20 and then shoot to flower after returning from my daughters wedding knowing veg can hang without me under 24/7 for 2.5 days. Luckily I can focus on coming harvest/cure but normally I would have veg ready to go to flower after the harvest.
Am anxious as only 2 grows under LEDs and anxious about changing nutrients...but eager to improve. Current word on Canna is "gooie " so I can worry about bud rot?!?!

        Still laughing.
        Much appreciation

Congrats on gaining a son! Glad we could make you laugh 😂

Worrying about bud rot is a good problem to have...

There are so many good nutrient lines, it's impossible to choose... I only have experience with Advanced which works well but it's so expensive.

Im going supersoil for a while, I have to explore more and I'm waiting on the likes of you and the crew to help me figure out which way to go next.

I can't yet leave coco coir, and expense- I am so far into the hole it doesn't matter...now keeping up with my upgrade...like my phone that I don't know how to use to its fullest. Am so grateful for you and all...

I use Canna in coco under LED. I did a couple of grows with just A+B then added the whole range in my more recent grows (A+B, rhizotonic, cannazym, p/k, boost). I use Canna's light feeding schedule. It certainly works okay but with 5 different solutions to mix every time you feed it gets boring pretty quick. It also ends up being a bit pricey keeping up with everything.

Why are you looking to change from GH? I'll admit I am considering switching in the opposite direction, or maybe trying DynaGrow, to reduce costs.

If you do move to Canna you'll use as much cannazym and boost as A+B but you'll use less rhizotonic and only a very small amount of p/k. i.e. only buy a small bottle of p/k.

        I add CalMag occasionally too.

I don't really have anything to compare my canna experience to I'm afraid. I've been very happy with the quality of the weed I've grown but I'm still working on increasing yields. I can't say my buds have been gooey per se, my resin production seems pretty "standard" (i.e. seems comparable to other growers weed I've seen).

Yes..advanced nutrients has been an input as well and there is the rub! I am good with GH Flora + Cali-mag, + Terpinator then + bloom..ok with many syringes into 16 gal bottles..but want it right. I am not looking for easy.
If there was a right we'd all be doing it! Thanks so much for checking in BTB...much appreciated.

Hi tika, I am using canna line but for soil, canna terra Flores, cannazym, canna boost and used canna pk 13/14 twice only over two of my last three watering, got slight nute burn to tips only, the top bud post yesterday was grown with canna, the nutes were a late addition due to funding problems and no veg nutes were used, I'm going to use canna full line next grow, but this is first time so I have no comparison, interestingly enough, plant B which is different pheno type(diagnosis by green75), a long flowering sativa I think, has eaten the nutes no probs and I am considering going up to full on her when I start plant A flush in a week or two, I think they have helped well and the buds are looking quite frosty and gooey, hope this helps
The more I know, the better I grow.

I'm only growing 3 plants at a time right now and don't use up my nutes very quickly so I'll be using canna for a while
I'm really interested to see if you find that canna gives you what you're looking for over the other systems you've used.

Hello BTB, how did your plants react to the pk13/14? One of mine seemed to throw out a load of new pistils overnight, nice to meet you by the way

Hi Vapo69 nice to meet you too.
I'll admit I haven't noticed a big boost from the P/K but I'm likely using it wrong. Without foreknowledge of a particular strain's growth cycle I find it hard to follow Canna's nute guide and distinguish between its various "generative" periods. Are there any signs you use to know when to add the P/K?

To tell the truth mate, on this grow, i started using pk13/14 when I could afford it, and it said to use over 3-6 day's, I was in 5th week of flowering when i used it and i used it twice at full with one ph'd in between, first grow so don't know, I guessed really, I put it in when I thought the plant needed extra p+k

It was almost 6 years ago, but when I grew coco with Canna nutrients I had great results! Canna is cool because the company was specifically started by cannabis enthusiasts who grow in coco, so they're really helpful if you contact them with questions about growing in coco!
