    Germination

I have been trying to get seeds to germinate , I have tried Scarfing , soaking in distilled water , distilled water and peroxide , rapid rooter , wet paper towel old school way tried and true ! I can't get any of the seeds to pop ! I have been growing for 40 years and never had a problem to get the nut to pop . Any suggestions would be appreciated

Where did the seeds come from? Seeds can go bad over time. Especially if not stored properly.

Zenpype is the site where I bought my seeds , I would warn you from buying seeds from Zenpype as they claim they are not responsible for their seeds once they leave their business .All they gave me was B.S how the seeds can freeze in the belly of the plane , which is a lie the temperature in the belly is the same as the passenger fuselage or other wise all of our pets would be killed by the freezing weather ! Zenpype then told me it is the Xray the post office used that killed t seeds ! I spent over $400 on seeds at Zenpype and bought almost every strain they offer with out a nut popping WTF ! Zenpype has no return policy or replacement of bad seeds ! The battle has begun with me contacting the credit card companies and you can go to www Econsumer.gov to place a complaint on foreign companies Zenpype seeds come from Portugal ! This was my first time buying seeds online and what a lesson to learn about if it sounds too good to be true it most likely will bite you in the butt , Zenpype was selling the the seeds 6 seeds for $18.00 American dollars

Well ive used and recommend Nirvana Seeds and MSNL. Ive gotten a few from seedsman and have had no issues however i like the other 2 more. But if you use bitcoin on seedsman you get lots of free seeds. I think many here have used all three of the above and they all go above and beyond on customer service.

If you used a credit card i would think they could stop payment but not really sure on that. I mean having 1 or 2 not pop happens but to have none come up? Something definitely happened. And they froze? Are they kidding? Seeds sit outside naturally all winter long in the wild and then germinate in spring. Thats how it works. Sitting in freezing temps for a plane ride is not gonna hurt the seeds. And dont all packages going on a plane go through an xray machine? So thats bull hooey also.

Morning MarinaFog, I don't know where you got your seeds, but sounds like they might be 40years old.
I think you got bad -too old seeds.
It not hard to germinate, like you know.
    Get some good seeds.
I've got seeds that are over 20years old, and older, they don't all germinate, but most of them do.

Howdy MarinaFog, I have germinated some fairly old seeds, some as old as 15 to 20 years. They had been stored in a bag at room temperature. I did have a problem getting them to germinate when I first started to grow. I tried something different (at least in my mind) and placed the remainder of the seeds in the deep freezer for a few weeks. I then used the paper towel method with water pH'ed to 5.0 and started getting a good amount (approximately 60%) to germinate. I do this even now with the new seeds as well, keep them in the freezer for a while before germinating them.
I hope that this may help You out, good luck in Your growing.

I store my seeds in the fridge sealed nicely in bags. They last forever it seems.
