Random question-if the growing medium is flushed prior to harvest what is the point of reducing the nutrients for the final couple of weeks?

So if I understand what you're saying that means by reducing the Bloom and eliminating the Cal Mag you are preparing the plant for water consumption during flush.

I was getting the reduction from the GH FloraNova nutrient schedule. It suggests 5ml Bloom for early, mid & late bloom then reduce to 3ml for the ripen week before flush. I felt 5ml was too strong so I've been going with 3.5ml/gal. It also suggests 2.5ml CalMag for early & mid bloom then reducing to 1.5 for one week of late bloom & eliminating it during the ripen week before flush. I've been giving the recommended 2.5ml/gal so far. It also suggests Rapid Start, Koolbloom & Floralicious Plus and I don't have any of those. I hope to be getting those for my next grow. They also suggest 10ml/gal of FloraKleen to flush.

I'm assuming I'm two weeks from harvest (this is just an uneducated guess on my part-I should have a digital microscope by Friday to confirm this) so my plan was to give 2.5ml/gal Bloom & .75 CalMag starting Friday for one week and then 1.5ml/gal Bloom & no CalMag for the next week then flush and harvest.

All of this is new to me and I'm feeling quite ignorant about it. So if you have ANY suggestions about the nutrients or their schedule please share and I'll follow them. I imagine getting a close look using the microscope will shed some light on exactly where my girls are in their lifespan.

Thanks for all of your help!!!

I don't think the previous links are working.

They suggest 2ml/gal mid-bloom, 2.5ml/gal for late bloom and none in the ripen week.

I had planned on switching to the "week 10" feeding schedule this coming Friday. Up to this point I've been using the CalMag @ 50% of the suggested amount. Should I use more than .75ml/gal starting this Friday since I don't have any KoolBloom? The chart recommends 1.5ml/gal Cal Mag and 2.5ml/gal Liquid KoolBloom.

Ok. So does a ppm of around 450 sound like a reasonable target?

I feel lost now. I don't know if I should increase my CalMag or decrease it. What did you mean about being nervous at 1.5? Too much or too little? Do you know of any chart specifically for coco?

Things have gone smooth for nearly 12 weeks (except for that run-off issue that you helped me with) and now I feel like I'm gonna ruin everything with the finish line in sight.

Yep. That's all I have. Been using 3.5ml/gal Bloom & 2.5ml/gal CalMag and my inflow ppm has been around 500-575. So if you think I should I'll try 3.5ml/gal CalMag.

                          Sound good?

My 2nd Early Miss girl who is a late bloomer (hasn't bloomed yet ) has issues. She sprouted at the same time as the plant we've been discussing in this thread but has been a slow developing plant. I nearly tossed her out after about 10 days because she sprouted and never grew after that. I stopped feeding her for 3 days and was ready to toss her and my wife noticed a small sign of life so I planted her in the tent next to her much faster growing sister and although she has remained behind in development she's been healthy since then. The problem is she hasn't flowered yet and she keeps growing taller. My tent is crowded and it's been hard to train her so far (actually I've paid much more attention to the older sister). I probably need to super-crop her. But if she started only about two weeks from the other girl who is starting week 7 of flower why hasn't she flowered yet? I did give her a pretty good haircut a few days ago but I wouldn't think that would have stalled her this much. Also there is a different issue with her as well. I've been fertigating her with the same solution as her sister but their run-off is crazy different. The more mature plant (I'll call her #1) has good run-off #'s but the other (#2) is way different. Last night and today's numbers are....
                              • #1 Inflow ppm 497 & run-off ppm 521
                              • #1 Inflow ppm 447 & run-off ppm 521
                              • #2 Inflow ppm 497 & run-off ppm 370
                              • #2 Inflow ppm 447 & run-off ppm 347
On page 16 of your guide you advise if run-off EC is low to increase the quantity of nutrient solution. Obviously this will also increase my Inflow ppm/EC, my question is how much increase due you suggest? What should my target inflow be for good ole #2? I have an EC meter on the way which should make our discussions much easier to understand.

She's an auto and stays on 18/6. But it is odd that she still hasn't flowered.

Ok, I'll bump the solution up and keep measuring the run-off.
