Agreed. My plants really take off when I top them: I let nodes 2, 3 and 4 turn into colas. They barely need any training.

Wow you only have to water once a week? What are you growing them in? Soil? Container size? I add nutes twice a week but i water about 3 times a week.

You can add nutes with all water if you are monitoring and adjusting for EC. This is the preferred way to fertigate in all media.

But you have to manage EC. If you are coming from the practice of an alternating flush, then you will have to start with a relatively low inflow EC and work the plants back up. If this is something you are interested in then I'd be happy to discuss more specific strategy.

As Redwasp suggests, your irrigation frequency is really low. You should work on ways to increase that. This will be even more important if adding nutes to all water. You need to water more frequently than that.

Hmmm i cant imagine cannabis only needing once a week. They must be babies. I try to keep them in small enough pots that they need watering every 4th day or less. I end in 7 gallon pots.

I agree, and it suggests drainage issues probably.

Higher frequency fertigation is always better if you can manage drainage. If the interval between events is days long, then evaporation is going to really raise the EC/PM of the nutrient solution in the media. When this is followed with "plain" water, the EC/PPM drops. The poor plant has to struggle to adjust to all of these changes.
High frequency fertigation ensures that the nutrient solution available to the plant is always in a tighter EC/PPM range. Plants don't have to spend energy adjusting and can just grow.
I write about this in my guide to EC/PPM and Fertigation: https://forum.growweedeasy.com/forum...u-need-to-know

I would just recommend doing a flush in between.

i could dedicate one light to the shorter two plants

It is best to try to keep the canopies the same height - rather than lowering one light. Taller plants will start leaning over and shading out shorter plants. I think the best option is putting blocks (or something) under the saucers of the shorter plants to raise them to the level of the others.
