Yellowing leaf tips/areas btw veins and sluggish growth

Hi I am new to growing and need some feedback and help with my plants. Sorry for the newbie diatribe

problem:
The plants (60%) seem to have yellowing tips as well inter veinal yellowing. This yellowing is impacting leaves mid plant not the tops or the bottoms. Also Leaf margins turn brown and progress inwards. I have also noticed slow growth.

Grow Condition/Set up:

Plants are under a full spectrum 1000 w mh approx. 24 in away. Lamp was 18 but I have moved it fearing this is light/heat street. There is a fan blowing over the canopy not direct on plants. Plants are in a 4x4x6 grow tent with and inline fan. Temperatures have soard to high 80s at times but now I have it tuned to 75-77 at peak daytime temperature. Humidity was a paltry 15-25 % I have now installed a humidifier at the humidity is now 50-60%.

Plants are grown in soil and just recently I flushed each 1L container with 5L pH adjuster tap water (6.5). To my horror initial run off showed pH at 5.0 across the board and ec was 2.7-4.0. after flushing pH was 5.8-6.2 and ec was 0.3. I will admit that I did not water with 20% runoff initially but now it is my religion.

I am watering with a nut soln of 6.5 pH 1.3 ec aerated with a temperature of 70-80.

Nut is gh flora nova grow with gh floralicious plus.

Key to note is I am also training the plants with the mainlining technique.

Cheese
Blueberry
Original skunk

Hi Hammer welcome!

Looks like you have overwatered some maybe sitting in the puddle, and then they look burned like the nutrients or ph , I read Green checks his run off ph . That light is bright and dries the plant out fast you just want to not stress her all at once.

Definitely looks like the beginning of root rot. Make sure you have good drainage in the pot. And if you don't mind me asking are you spraying the plant with a water bottle?

Agree with karlee. Nute burn.

Sounds like you've corrected the issue. Nute burn will definitely slow growth if it's severe enough. Do you feed every other watering?

Oops didn't read the whole posting sorry!!I Your plant are suffering from a nutrient burn, they will likely exhibit signs of yellowing and burnt tips on the leaves. The leaves may become crunchy and crispy and their edges will begin to curl. Depending on the type of nutrient that is causing the burn, the leaves may also have brown spots on the leaf’s edges (which generally happens with potassium toxicities). Look at your new tree nutrients..

Thanks everyone. To provide more details these are in 1 g pots. will upgrade to 3-5 gal pots when plants are larger. I am mainlining and plants are from seed planted abt 6 wks ago. Previously I was feeding every watering now I'm considering to feed nuts every other water and check run off for ec and pH.

Question:

Is it advisable to water with regular ph adjusted water and measure ec runoff and when it is below the target level to water with nutrients? Also I did not check the pH of the soil pre planting and now the plants are in soil with a low pH. Any simple and effective tips on how to raise soil pH in this situation? Alot of flushing seemed to marginally being the pH up just under a factor of 10 points.

Adjust soil pH slowly over several days time, and check pH often as you go. Radical changes in pH may cause osmotic shock damage to the roots. But don't stress have fun let the plants grow as they're genetically inform to do.

Let them dry out good. Less fert. When feeding every other watering ph 6.5 thay should come around good luck

Did this happen right after you flushed them? If so, it's possible they just got really overwatered, which can sometimes cause what looks like nutrient deficiencies If that's the case they should grow out of it relatively quickly, especially if you put them in bigger pots!

Ok thanks everyone for their input. This thread is good to close off. Plants are looking nicer by the hour (Im very observant). I would say that ph was too low and that I gave them too many nutrients. Solution for me is to ALWAYS water with ph balanced tap water. Monitor the run-off with ph/ec meters and based on the ec I can know if its time for a feeding and then I can finish it off with a nut soltn with the target ec level and have that run out the containers as well and take a final ph/ec reading off that one. Every other watering I will just use water sans nuts and monitor the run off. Next thing to fret over is how many F/M I will end up with!
