I'm a first time grower and I was curious if anybody can tell if my plants are male or female. I have done a little research but I'm still not comfortable making the call yet. Any help would be appreciated.

Slow day; I'll take my chances at this one. No organs to sex yet. How old is this plant?

It's about 9 weeks. I've yet to see any white pistils. I'm hoping it'll show more in the next week or so.

Without changing to12/12 they may not show preflowers. Mine did at eight weeks but I wasn't expecting it.

Really? I still have hope then! I'll post more pictures if I see a change. If not I'll wait until I change schedules. How quick do you think it will show after changing?

And those first white hairs often show themselves on the lower part of the plant, near older nodes.

Ok. I looked to see if I could find any. But I couldn't quite see anything yet. Only time will tell I guess. I have another question. When is a good time to switch your plant into the 12/12 schedule.

                      Number 1 and 2 I can't tell. 3 and 5 look like I see balls. number 4 is a girl.

All the pictures are from the same plant. Just different spots. Do you think it could still be female? Would an overhead picture help identify it?

If they're all from the same plant. Can you just pinch the balls off. (Ouch!!!)

Would that help anything? Do you think it could be a Hermie? Or should I just give it some more time before I do anything.

You have any other female plants in the area ? If the pictures are all from the same plant. Then yes it is a Hermie. If they are for sure Balls they are going to pollinate your females.
I would make sure before I kill it. Just keep an eye out for a couple of days.

No I don't have any other plants around it at the moment. I'll give it a couple weeks. What should I be looking for? The white hairs growing? Or more pollen sacs?

There will literally be little balls (pollen sacks) instead of 2 little pistils sticking up. When you see them, just pinch them off. Look for them on the lower nodes. If you see anything that looks like yellow little bloom or like tiny bananas. That will be Hermies.

If I start seeing those should I just cut the plant and start new?

No, just pick the hermies off if you see them. I wouldn't cut the plant unless you want too of course. Havn't you ever smoked seedy weed ?
