    Two better than one?

Hi everyone! I’m new to the forums and I’ve decided to make the switch from outdoor to indoor using DWC. I’m piecing together my own 5x5 grow tent and could use a little advice on Led lighting. I’m wondering if it’s better to get 1 1200w led light or 2 600w led lights for bigger yields? Or is it more or less the same thing?

I tried researching this question, but haven’t found any answers, so if it’s been answered already on here please point me in that direction. Thanks!

Its really hard to asses LED fixtures based on their wattage alone. Their efficiency values differ widely between products. Manufacturers also manipulate values to make their products appear to be of high quality, some even lie.

Hey Dan, I had a feeling there wasn’t an “easy”answer to that question. Thanks so much for your time and great info in those articles!

I don't really know anything about Led, but the one advantage of the two 600's that I can think of, is if you were growing two plants in there that really want to grow at different rates, especially if you wanted to try two different strains, would make keeping the correct distance from the light much easier.
