    Topping autos?

I’m currently growing 4 autos in ffof in 3 gal sp's under 600 watts my question is, is there a right time to top them? I realize some say never, mine seam to b growing fast and healthy about 2 weeks old 3to4 nodes each. Any one with experience in this, I sure would like to here from u thanks in advance 😎

Yes, I top every "auto"-there is a right time to top them.
    I top them once they get to the 5-6th node-and I either top @ the 4th or 5th node-giving 8-12 colas.
If you wait longer, topping will interfere with flowering!

It's all bullshit - until you smoke it!

Wow, I just read about your auto grow. I am bouth frightened and strangely aroused. I’ve got to give it a try when I reach the 6th node thanks 😎

Potted, be mindfull, that is a test grow- keeeping the amount to work a minimum.
The quality/yield will tell the story.
It's been really hard not to defoliate it twice, but other than that, its no disappointment!

Many GWE-toppers (there are a few GWE-non-toppers as well, also growing some righteous buds) will do some version of a manifold with 1, 2, or 3 nodes, tied down with branches radiating out from the center.

I seem to get the best results with least stress this way. When I top at the 6th node, and grow out the 3rd, 4th and 5th nodes, I call it a 3 layer cake, and orient the branches pointing outward like 6 spokes from a wheel, but it gets a little crowded in the middle of the canopy.
Nothing is foolproof for the sufficiently talented fool.

I top autos at the third node.. earlier the better.. As soon as I can get my snips in there.. Usually between day 10 & 14... This is a sweet Grape auto harvested on day 115 .. Topped at the third node and mainlined

          Holy S*%# Green!
Didn't know you could even succesfully main line them either!

Hey does anyone find it useful to top autos or defoliate when growing with sun? All mine are in a greenhouse, and thinking a lot of future grows will be autos, so I can harvest more than once a year without the daily covering and uncovering.

Yes. Worked fine for me snipping node six growing an auto my deck last summer. Colas immediately sprang out giving me a remarkably symmetrical plant.

          Cool. Thanks Doc!
So much great advice for indoor grows, but still trying to learn what to carry over to my greenhouse, and what isn't really necessary.
