What are you using for media? Hydroton? If so, you can just set the pot so the bottom of the hydroton is immersed and it will actually wick the water up to the top layer.
For some reason people get very excited about having to have a space between the bottom of the pot and the top of the water but taint so.
Hope that helps...

I set my water so the bubbles are just hitting bottom of my clay pebbles an also use a solo cut an top feed once a day till I see roots then stop

TF88, so once the tap root makes its way through the bottom of the basket you can turn off the top feeders, and its getting enough moisture from the bubble action without reaching the water surface? I've had roots in the water for a couple of weeks, and have still been running the drips; guess its time to turn them off....

Yes you want to stop top feeding soon as roots touch down in water... Then lower water level a tad an make the roots work for it! Then when they reach it drop it again! Only drop your water levels MAX 2 inches from bottom of your basket! Plants will take off! At least that's how I was taughtLast edited by Trichomefarmer88; 03-29-2018, 12:04 PM.

I scoop out of rez, or bucket ( like in my case) then i pour a whole cup only around the out side edge of Pebble... I'm also using 6 inch basket lid... So I would think smaller basket size... Less water? Then again it is a hydro set.... Whole cup should be fine any size! Just water outer rim tho! You want to make them roots work for it!
