What's up GWE FOLKS? As some of you know I'm preparing to begin my Northern Lights germination. So I was trying to get some feed back from some of you that have already grown this strain to find out what the best training method would be. I have so far only did the LST METHOD, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO TRY THE MANIFOLD METHOD. I've been reading Nebula's point by point I instructions on this and it seems pretty straight forward. However as it says some strains respond better to certain types of methods. So like I said I was hoping for some feed back from you who have already grown this strain. Thanks in advance for everyone's advice and good day.

Best training method for Northern Lights

Training is pretty basic. I have used the same methods--LST, wires, defoliation, etc.--from dwarf autos to full-size photos. Generally, just watch how the plant and see how it responds.
Manifolding sounds like a great technique that I'd like to try, but I'm a SCROG guy for the mo'. Good luck and have fun.

My first grow was 2 photoperiod Northern Lights. I decided to Manifold and defoliate. I just followed Nebula's tutorials and was extremely pleased with the harvest.
My second grow was Autos and I manifolded, my third grow is just finishing up and I did only LST and defoliation. I have minimal experience but I'm starting to question how much of an advantage you get from manifolding Autos. I'm not sure if my yield from manifolding will be any better than the LST with super cropping the main cola. I need more experience before making a decision.
Manifolding with a photoperiod makes more sense because you can control how long to keep it in veg. It definitely slows down the growth, but if you are not in a hurry, you can create quite a nice yielding plant.
