So it looks like you have a filter with a fan, connected to 4" Duct?
What if: You move the filter to the top of the tent, run ducting to the edge of the building, put a $20 4" in line booster fan( I just ordered two from Amazon) in the end, and connect that to a 4" dryer vent?
You would need a dryer vent to tie into, or if you own your house, they are like $17 at the hardware store, not really all that hard to install if you are handy. The type with a piece of duct going into a plastic box with flappers on the bottom.
Could probably use a bathroom vent as well, think those are usually 4".
Thoughts at least, good luck.

I tried that first but didn't lower to what I expected so I'm running from floor straight up with same results. I'll move em back up, just thought I'd try. I've got one fan pointed up and out with the top of the door unzipped, lights off during mid day and it's 77 RH 53-55% (lights off). And it's Feb lol. Think I'll just suck it up and get a little 5k unit a/c and point it at the tent

Definitly want it exhausting from the top, as heat rises.... that should drop the temp slightly.

Do you have room to mount your fan and filter at the top of the tent above the light? It looks like you have 3 circulation fans, try directing a couple of them towards the top of your tent as well.

Yea, I think I'll get an a/c before flower. Summers here are hot af and often high rh as well. There's really nowhere to vent and it's a old house with shitty insulation. Electrical bill is gonna suck for a couple months lol

I flowered late last year and temps where high 80s in the hottest parts of the day and still turned out really good. Can you vent into the roof or under the room? Lower the room temp? Open a window with a box fan in front of it. I have 2 passive intakes and one has a fan directly blowing in it. Since you'll be flowering in your months keep light off at hot part of the day for 12/12 I think you'll be okay. 81 isn't all that hot and only 1 degree higher then recommended for flower. Veg you can get up to 85 and be fine provided there's good Rh.

I don't know what a passive intake is, I'm assuming pushing air in lol? Yea, I've opened all the vent holes. I'm not worried about veg but flowers gonna hit during the hotter months. I don't exactly live in a liberal state so venting outside is a risk or I'd blow that shit out the window real quick

That temp isn't all that bad. Do you have a passive intake? It should be larger then outtake. Have you tried opening the screens on the bottom? You can try leaving the top part unzipped with the fan pointing up to let some heat out. I've had temps well above 85f before. Venting outside would be a big help though, but assuming it's not an option. If you can rig something up to vent outside it would help a lot. Other then that try opening another intake, looks like you're still vegging so if you can turn the lights off in the hotter part of the day. There are cheap ways to set up a vent out a window idk if you want to spend the money on a unit.http://www.growweedeasy.com/exhaust#stealthy-exhaust

Cooling tent
Hey everyone!
So, this is my setup. 4x4 tent with 400w T5. The inline is a 4in on a 6in filter, can't get the temps below 79-81and haven't even turned on the other 4 bulbs yet. House is sitting about 72deg. I am pushing the air into the room the tent is in. That's really my only option. Before I go get a $150 window unit wanted to see if anyone else had ideas.1 PhotoTags: None
