Nothing is foolproof for the sufficiently talented fool. -
After some coaching, I put a bud in a nylon tea bag and squeezed it at 210 F for two minutes and got a very nice golden rosin with no green flakes this time.
(The tea bag was a used Bigelow Steep Cafe brand from the fancy tea that they put out at work.) The bag does hold a little bit of the rosin, but it's nice to get clear product.
