Do these fan leaves looked clawed? Tried to search online but still not sure lol. This is my first grow and I've had a sneaking suspicion that I haven't been feeding enough cal mag. Thought I'd ask some experienced growers. Thanks

Clawed leaves?

I'm only on my 3rd grow but they look okay to me. Clawed leaves look just like that, a claw. Your leaves look flat and happy. There are a few closer to the bottom in the first and second pics that look like they are curling in, but nothing horrible to me. Are they getting enough water? I don't use nutes, I use Kindsoil so I am not used to using anything but ph'd water. Others will pop in and give their opinion but, personally I wouldn't worry. I'm happy when my plants look like that.
What is your set up? Lights? Soil? Strain? That helps a lot for the experienced ones on here.Current grow:
2-300w led lights
1- 60w cfl for germination
2- 5 gal fiber pots
Kind Soil 5lbs per 5 gal pot
Compost (80%)/perlite (20%)
Seeds:
Shaolin Master auto/fem Harvested
Kush auto/fem (planted 5/13/18) Harvested
Sweet Soma auto/fem ready to go into her home soon (kind soil)
Northern Lights auto/fem, put in soil today, waiting for forever home soon.

bluecanoe hey Blue I have been using kind soil as well ,I was at the store the other day and they had roots organic soil on sale so I grabbed some roots original to replace happy frog that I get bugs from every time I use it , they also had this stuff called Green fields it there version of super soil . I planted 2 plants side by side one with kind soil and roots original and one with Green fields and original so far they are the same height no difference in growth . the roots original and green fields are around $14 thats alot better than 87 plus shipping just thought I would share

Oldjarhead, Thanks for the heads up. I don't have many options where I am, but am going to the city one day this week and will try to get by a garden center and see if I can find some Green Fields. People are putting their spring stuff out now, so I might get lucky and find it. It will keep me from having to order Kind Soil sooner than I can send Mr. Kind bud pics and get some free. I want to have two more pots ready to put seedlings in when I harvest my two plants I'm growing now so I'll be ahead of the game. Was the store a regular big box store or was it a specialty store? There's only one specialty store in the city and they want every penny you have as well as your first born! I just need 10 lbs, 5 lbs per each 5 gal pot.
Thanks again.

Good Morning KTG, I'm with BlueCanoe, I don't see much wrong, a few leaves with a little claw, not bad though, it's normally caused by to much nitrogen, but I don't think that's the case with your plants, looks pretty normal to me, it's hard to have every leaf look perfect, lots of times ,too much breeze will make them claw a little, but if you had the claw, bad, every leaf tip would be bent down 90degrees.
Yours ain't bad, matter of fact, your plants look pretty healthy.Cfls for a week or two
315lec for everything else
Dug up Ms.topsoil, with perlite added
36x36x63 inch tent.

I think most of us new growers tend to over analyze every little thing we see in our plants and then have a tendency to over react in trying to fix it often causing more of an issue than was there to begin with. I know I did on my first grow and I am being forced to catch myself from doing that on my 2nd. I’d suggest doing as you are as they look fine to me, and keep an eye on them in case it progresses. Remember it’s a plant that is a living thing, it’s not going to be perfect.48”x48”x80” flower/main tent

Good Morning Locrian99, that was a great answer, you gave. It's hard for young growers not to worry, but it gets easier, every single day, if you are listening to your plants.

D.A.A.S. is right. I wasn't ever really worried on my first grow, except when I watered my plants with yeast water I was using to make carbon dioxide! I grabbed the wrong jug! Being a gardener since I was a kid, I understand plants, and especially weeds. Which is what we are growing, except they are way more expensive!
One reason I switched to Kind Soil was D.A.A.S. and OldJarHead and a couple of others told me how easy it was and how I didn't have to worry about nutes and only had to ph the water. It makes it so much easier, I just keep the lights on, keep them watered and turned and they do the rest themselves. Listen to your plants and you can't go wrong.
There's a lot of wisdom here on this board, take it.

Hay KTG, U mentioned your in 2gallon s.p. I don’t know what your growing autos, photos, but in that size pot your going to experience some nute looking problems just because of the pot size and plants will remain small. as for the claw it’s not to bad in my experience try slowing down fans-a bit. Lol

Thanks for the info. I'll try adjusting fans so they're not hitting the leaves so hard. I'm also moving to six gallon bags for flower next week. Thought 2 gallons would suffice but I'm already having to water every 2 days to avoid dehydration.
