Stealth harvesting techniques searched on 5 forums and haven't seen a topic on this!

So I have read on the forums during the times of harvest is when the plant would smell the most. But I haven't found exact instructions on how to keep stealth during harvest. I live with one other person in the house who I am keeping this from. Buying all the essentials like carbon filter and ona buckets.... The grow tent will be in a locked room and will be exhausting air during harvest. My plan around this time will be to close all the windows the carbon scrubber would exhaust in the room and I would place the ona gel outside the room and one as well in the living room. Are there holes in my procedure? Would adding a cheap ozone generator outside my tent help as well. I want to be extra stealthy. Better safe than butt rape.

Where do you plan on hanging the plants to dry after you cut them down? They will certainly smell a lot while you are harvesting with the tent open. I am noticing a great deal of odor once I open the tent and I'm only on the 2nd week of flowering. If you plan to hang them in the tent to dry, I would be careful with how high the inline fan is running because you don't want to dry them too quickly even though you are trying to keep the odor down. That's a critical phase after harvest and you don't want to ruin all that hard work getting to that point by drying out your plants to quickly. Just something to think about.

I assume that you live in a state where cultivating weed is illegal. If that is the case, I think it's pretty chicken shit of you not to let the other person in on it. Because if the heat comes through the door, is his or her ass on the line as well as yours.

I live in a country where it is illegal and the other person is a tenant renting a room. Maybe I should just kick her out before I grow.

Estoy de acuerdo, Mariano: it's quite dangerous to have someone in the house who can't know what you're doing. It would be so easy for something to go wrong or get exposed.

Hence the reason even she can't know.

I'm thinking of getting a bigger tent with enough space for me to fit in it while trimming and harvesting which means I can't grow my plants to maximum, then off-course leave them to dry in the tent put ona gel and an ozone generator outside the tent ozone generator near the door then another ona gel outside the door in the hall way.

Mariano, I think it would be impossible to grow in the same home and keep it from your housemate for long, and I think you are right to be concerned that smell will get you caught.

If you really want to be certain to avoid the consequences of discovery, I think you have 2 choices, both of which require that you assume she will find out. Inform your roommate or ask her to leave before (not after) she finds out. You can either prevent her from finding out with certainty or make sure it won't be a problem if she does. You might have to share with her. But hey, if she's up for it, you might be able to get her to water your plants when you go out.

Yeah i think the first option would be better I highly doubt she is cool with the second.

Hey 69, I know people that grow in apartment buildings with inspections every 30days, so you can certainly do it, you just have to be careful an not tell anyone.

her room will be right beside my grow room though and I think during harvest the smell won't be able to be hidden. Or will the ona gel outside the door be enough and a carbon filter on the tent plus an ozone generator be sufficient if needed?

I live in a rowhouse 3 bedroom looking place she lives in one of the bedrooms and was planning on turning the other one into a grow room. Was planning to do everything at 3am or something but 3 months of doing that plus the high risk of harvest smell is making me think the safest thing is to tell her an excuse in order to find a new place so I can live alone

hi bro I don't know how to reply to your comment. Actually I haven't grown yet I am in the pre-planning phase and for-seeing all angles that could fuck me up before I proceed. So right now since I need to time when to make her leave I am thinking of lying low from getting high or anything till Christmas be extra nice to her then let her go then. Since if I do that now it might be too suspicious plus it will give me time to save up for quantum boards and better equipment.

U really can’t hide the smell completely through the process,I’ve tried spend all kinds of cash trying with mixed results.

Hell hath no fury like a womans scorn especialy when they would be in the right and you would be in the wrong. Tenants have rights and an expectation of security and safety They are paying rent to the landlord. As a land lord you are putting them at risk. If you want her to move out find her a better situation and pay her to leave. That would be the rightous thing to do. And morally I hope you never tapped that ass.

A bigger tent Wont solve your problems and unless you gRow 1 plant in a 5x9 tent you wont fit well to take care of business.
