    The Borg?

I don't see anything flying around my tent nothing crawling on the leaves or soil. I don't have any idea what I'm battling here. I don't see webbing or any spittle of sorts it's pretty cold here for flying insects. I used need oil for a few days and can't stand the smell. I don't have any more clues to go on. I'm afraid now that I have transitioned to 12/12 my flower will be eaten. I see new growth being effected and can't see what's doing it. Any helpful advice?

I can't imagine what else would be putting holes in the leaves or taking big chunks off the one pic shows it like it was an inch work or catapiller that chewed it. I bought Fox farms ocean Forest from the same place as my last grow... This never happened.

I did a bit of googling and found some nute problems can cause issues like that.

As a matter of fact I just fed my lady's some silica and straight water and have one plant showing the same condition. pH swing more than likely. I don't use meters just have an approximate guess just based off of silica has a much lower pH than most nutes.

Wierd I'm using general hydro nutes drain to waste and pH every time I water. My well water is around 7 and when I add nutes it drops to 6 I added more water without nutes but didn't check my run off because they were thirsty and I got in a hurry. Going to check my run off next water and balance out the pH before I add more this time. Hopefully it is a pH swing I couldn't imagine having a deficiency with my feed schedule but it's possible. Hoping it's not an infection all the rest of the plant and leaves are healthy.

It looks like you feed a bit on the heavy side just based on the dark green of your leaves, might want to bcak down the nitrogen a hair for a while and see how that goes.
I hadn't phed my water in years. Just follow the instructions on the back of the bottle with a feed, water, water schedule. It's served me well. Whatever caused mine to do this, I know it will be fixed tomorrow and it's not nearly bad enough to kill them so I'll let it ride. It's another water day tomorrow also. I just won't add any silica and probably throw some root nutes or something super light. I'm sure yours will be fine also.

I'm in transition so I will be backing off on some nitrogen and see how it goes. Maybe just give it a rinse with a regular watering and wait to feed. The big holes and what look like bite marks have me stressed a little thinking there is a pest problem. Thanks for the input it gave me a touch of relief.

Morning Chef, what do the bottom of your bad leaves look like ?
I don't ever remember having a ph problem causing a big chunk of my leaves to disappear

Hey Chef, is that the only leaf that has damage ? Do anymore have black spots under them ? Could be caterpillars or some kinda worms, I hope it ain't caterpillars. I hope it ain't any kind of worm.
If you don't mind look under some more leaves real good.

Yes there are a few spot here and there and I defoliated quite a few of them but not all the effected leaves have spots underneath. Like I said kinda cold here so I kinda ruled out catapiller. Are worms going to be hard to get rid of? I'm trying to grow more on the organic side but if I have to use a pesticide I will.

There's a certain kind that lives in the stalks, they bore a hole, they will even get inside your buds, Nebula has got xcellent articles about worms an caterpillars, you can understand her better than me trust me,lol. It might not be anything, but it looks like caterpillars or worms to me, but I've been wrong abunch. I know the only way I got em off my plants was at night, or early in the morning, you can see them moving the branches at night with a flashlight.
I'd be keeping a close eye on them anyway, good luck, hope you get fixed up.

I read up on the ways nebula says to get rid of caterpillar and worms but haven't seen anything on the information. Do you have a link to the article that talks about it. Things I've seen say you can actually see them but I haven't inspected right before lights on just immediately after lights on.

Hey Chef, I'm not even sure you have a worm -bug problem, but I would for sure keep a close eye on them, I've just never seen a ph swing take a chunk of leaf out before,
And to tell the truth, I just figured out how to use this phone, not to long ago.So I don't know how link anything , but theirs plenty of information on them on the web.
I know one thing ,if it was bad ,you would see more damage than that one leaf, they like to eat.

It's only a few leaves here and there will be keeping a close eye on it. They are from bag seed so maybe it's some kind of genetic flaw. I will get some more pics later if the new growth

Some of the best buds I've ever grown came from Reggie seeds. I wish I still had the pics. One grew a 3 oz nug, not cola, nug. I still believe your pH swang after you watered and the plant ate some of it's self to buffer the low pH attack like mine did. I'm 100% sure I have 0 bugs in my tent. The whole set up is less than a week old .new pots, freshly expanded coco, brand new tent, lighting. It's all brand spanking new. But better safe than sorry

Yeah all my stuff except light bulb is brand new. I took some more pics of the new growth. No spots under or on top of the leaves. I'm dumbfounded. Leaning towards the pH swing myself as I have used a five day regiment of neem oil and lifted up a bit of soil to see no signs of any bugs nothing crawling around. My inspections have been thorough to say the least spending a lot of time just staring flipping over leaves and soil dining me crazy lol. Going to put sticky traps around just to see if I catch anything. Here's some pics of new growth I promised.
