Hi everyone. My blue mystic autos are 10 weeks from seed and have been largely problem free throughout. Some of the leaves are starting to yellow now. I’m not sure if this is normal at this stage of whether I’m running into nutrient deficiencies. Nivarna say this strain should take 9-11 weeks from seed and I think they are close to harvest (a few brown pistils but trics are still mostly clear) I’m happy to let them do their thing if this is normal but I don’t want to ignore a potential problem. Any advice gratefully received.

Have you been checking your PH? If so is it an issue? If you are close to harvest the leaves around buds will yellow as the buds are taking what nutrients are available. The trichromes should be cloudy or hazy... the more clear they are the speedier your buzz will be....the more milky/amber/cloudy... your buzz will be more mellow....more of a body/and head buzz....Hope this helps....there is a tutorial here on when to harvest... http://www.growweedeasy.com/harvestLast edited by Caveman; 01-18-2018, 12:41 PM.

Yes it's normal for yellowing, just like old man's hair turning grey. The smoke will be mellow, an smooth ,the whole stalk turned yellow on my last northern lights auto, harvested her on day 89,,, 30-40percent amber, killer smoke. You will sure be glad you waited for her to get done. Nice
Kobayashi.

Hi, no Ph issues, I’m not going to harvest until I see a few amber trics, I just want to know if the yellowing is normal at this stage for this strain. I don’t know if anyone has had experience of growing them here. I’ve been going fairy easy with the nutes so I want to make sure I’m not under feeding them at this point.

Yeah I would keep everything as is till final week. Probably will keep yellowing slowly as it finishes. Witch is perfect cause you won’t need to flush much. And yes keep track of the tricomes it just that I’ve had plants looking like that a month away from finishing. Let’s hope I’m wrong man good luck

Hi Kobayashi, looking at your plant close up, I think Kobayashi is right, you've got at least a month before those buds are mature. I've still not really caught the auto-bug, I've done 2 plants that didn't really do it for me, meh genetics. But is it important to switch to bloom nutrients for autos as it is for photo plants? Will excess nitrogen inhibit bud growth in autos?
