    YAY!!!

Read this yesterday and was thrilled and shocked at the same time. I never thought it would happen this fast. Now if the governor will sign it, I can be legal.
A Tennessee medical marijuana measure has been introduced and “passed on first consideration” in the state’s Senate. Senate Bill 1633, introduced by Senator Jeff Yarbro, “establishes a defense to prosecution for the possession of marijuana in an amount not to exceed one ounce by declaring such possession...

The states all are looking to jump on the band wagon. There's taxes in them thar hills! "Now if the governor will sign it, I can be legal." My opinion is that you are already legal. The illegalization of weed is a corrupt, and archaic infringement of our natural rights.

Money makes the world go round,a yen a buck a mark or a pound!
Thats what makes the world go round that clinking, clanking sound!
At last the light has dawned on marble heads. The legalization of pot
means more tax money for them to waste on pork projects, as always.
We had a large tax increase on gas recently in my state,we were told
it was to repair and resurface roads in the state,a good idea, still waiting
        Dont hold your breath bro.

I'm inclined to think the governor will sign it. I know it'll take time to work out the specifics of who, how and when. Taxes are a huge incentive, especially since the mayor of Nashville has proposed a $10B rapid transit system for the city. They need it, but it's going to be a huge project. Glad I don't live there anymore.
And we have so many places in TN that are rural and so very poor that would benefit from the tax dollars and what they would bring, not to mention the opioid problems. I think it's just a good thing all around. Heck, we may be able to get a fire hydrant on our street and mail delivery.
I'll just be happy to know that I won't lose my home, car and everything I own if I get caught with 2 plants, and legal medical cannabis usually allows those eligible to grow about 6 plants...I could have a great perpetual grow.

Hey Blue, I'm proud for you, I sure hope my state right down the road from Memphis south is next.

Such a great sign that places in the south are getting on board. Wonder if they are going to set up a dispensary system or if they will allow you to grow it. Washington you can buy for recreational but cannot grow for it. They can’t get any tax dollars if you grow it I suppose. Luckily Oregon didn’t do it that way, we just have a pretty low plant limit for recreational 4 mature and 4 immature and you can only have 10 seeds lol

They'll have to figure it out once the governor signs it. See how I am positive he will sign it! I'm just shocked that it passed on the first consideration, that shows that we are not being totally strangled by the Bible Belt. I'm still going to grow it, regardless what they say.
