    New Seedlings sprouted March 20
-Attempting a back-to-back mirror grow of four Bruce Banner from seed (same bagseed).
*EDIT- meaning it's the same bagseed as this journal. And 4 more plants grown pretty much exactly the same, but better. Trying to out do myself

So this is Day 20 since sprout and I am definitely neglecting them, hope to ride out the solo cups another week if possible.

Locrian99 lol I heard there was a solo cup challenge here a while back. I haven't tried to search for it though. My first plants ever got pretty big in a 1 gallon before I really had a clue. Never done autos but have been seriously thinking of trying for sure. Just the ability to flower without having to force it intrigues me.

I am doing some auto when I do another grow for sure. I have 9 autoseeds I picked up my last order. I’m most enticed by being able to care for them whenever is convenient. Rather than the 12/12 schedule. Might be able to try coco with an auto. I just don’t think my schedule would allow it with a photo. Did you take them all the way to harvest in the 1 gal

          Day 54
          Harvest Window

Unfortunately, due to seed production, this grow is no longer a priority and the girls in Veg get the attention. It is also full of bananas/ball sacks that are actively spitting out pollen all over my flower room. Not a good outlook for the next 2+ weeks or whatever it would take to see these plants to their "maximum potential". This first plant has over 30 seeds spotted and perhaps it's worse than that. The other plants are faring better so I took out the worse offender; ideally harvest would be all four @ 4/20. The routine is smoother if I stagger the harvest so 1 plant every 2 days or so ends up working into the schedule.
There is a NEED for a clean and sterile Bloom Room right now as I am outgrowing my veg bulb for the amount of plants under it so I need to flip some.

Here is the first Bruce Banner / Bruce Jenner harvested.
When it comes to Drying/ Curing I tend to just leave it hanging in my bathroom for 7-14 days and wait to trim until dry. (If I trim wet, the exudes from the cut stems end up causing bud rot/mold). Perhaps there is a better way, this way works fine and is easy for me so it is what it is for right now.

The other 3 girls remain upright for now, there is a strong pull for each direction.
          1) Flower Power and see that these girls make good seeds AND good bud
          or
          2) Snip & Flip and start all new again, fresh nugs in 8 weeks.

I could go either way but leaning towards Snip & Flip just simply due to seeds and pollen everywhere; a situation that seems to never improve. These nugs look better than the dispensary or anyone else's home grown so it's gravy in my book.

I'll be on the lookout for the new journal - and hope to see this one end up in jars!

You can send me some seeds 😆. I don't know if you just had reg seeds go herm or just grew bag seeds like me. But I'd do away with the flower room if I ran into that much pollen I didn't see it coming in my grow really. The youngsters need their space if you can move em to a dark area or somewhere you can finish flowering. I'd sterilize the room and go for some banner not jenner.

          Manifold Review #1

          OG Kush Mix -bagseed, manifold
Today is the day this lady gets the basal prune and she sure has taught me more in 1 plant than entire grows have. First plant ever with a true Manifold which is 100% due to Grow Weed Easy dot com and this forum. For about 90% of the grow I had serious doubts to the technique but after completing the style with intention it had revealed many things to me. This plant is the first harvested, but I did two this experiment and the second one is a complete MONSTER with a follow up Manifold review to come.

          1) Manifolding this plant and strain did NOT effect length of time. (Does not take longer, which I bet it would. I was wrong)
          2) Even with scrutiny and a negative outlook the whole time, in the end, the OVERALL FEELING FOR ME IS POSITIVE.
          3) I will try again because:
          4) Manifolding is tidy. It provides an extra sense of neatness and aesthetics to the grow & harvest. I like how the plant ended up harvesting: takes less time stalking and trimming.

NebulaHaze Thank you for the articles provided on manifolding. It made my grow more "fun" and that is always a good thing.

Manifolding ends up being neat, without effecting time or yield (at least negatively) as long as you don't kill or stunt your plant early. Not a beginners or first time growers technique because I wouldn't have any of these insights or confidence if it were not for growing some plants with different training. This definitely took the most Hope & Faith in veg than any other training style. Again, thanks Nebula and Nug Buckets.

That's already a great review! I was worried when you really weren't so sure about it - but it is such a great technique I thought you'd come around!
            Great looking harvest!

Here she is, the broken manifold ended up being the champion. Looks like she had a few more weeks left in her. Unfortunately I could not provide the room and light for her because a group of other tenants are waiting to move in. So down she goes.

            Drying

My methods of drying are primarily based on the environment outside. It is very cool, wet and humid all the time. Indoors is not much better and my particular structure is good but not great. It takes heat, and heat costs money. A dehumidifier or two will be an intelligent investment in the future, especially if I can eliminate the need for smelling up the house.
Upon the last days of growing I will make sure it's toasty warm, skip the last watering and let the soil dry up as much as I can, then maybe skip a lights-on cycle, just to keep from burning off any trichomes for a day. Then take as many leaves of as possible, but careful not to snip close to the buds, the juices that seep out seem to cause me bud rot or mold. Do this as I chop them up and hang in the bathroom for 10-14 days. Use fan and heater keep it 75-80 with air flowing.
Then trim & bag or put into containers.

It's all about the stems. They control the moisture in the buds until the final trim. I like this method because it helps start the curing process at the same time. After 2 weeks of a slow dry on the stems, do a final trim and jar. It keeps the bud smelling and feeling fresh. Taste is right behind Strength in my inner circle so we strive for tasty lip smacking smoke, as well as the medicinal strength. This has been shown to me to produce extremely aromatic and tasteful smoking nugget. After about a month (after harvest) the taste & smell will start to fade, but the strength and effects start to change too.

              Smoke Report

Bruce Banner first harvest. The purple, seedy one with the most colors. Purples and Golds.
Ended up losing 40% to seeds but all the big top colas are Sensimilla. Even the seedy stuff is really quality nugget, just with seeds.

              First Impression: 9/10
-Good name, look, smell, feel, chunky nugs.

              First Toke: 9.5/10
-Concussion type feel, stars & tunnel vision, instant regret (like I smoked too much at once)

              Medical Use: 10/10
-Sleepy, munchy, relaxing, good terpene profile, HEAVY body stone

              Recreational Use: 8.5/10
-Warning: work and machinery not feasible, couchlock, chillaxing

              Daily Smoke: 8/10
-P.M. Only, sleep aid, night cap, not good for morning

              Taste: 6/10
-Not bad but not good, not harsh but still has bite

              Smell: 9/10
-Strong overtone of overripe melon, wet morning roses, then fades into regular kushy type indica acrid gym sock

              Overall: 9.25/10
Super strong stone, like a vise on both body and mind. Smells and looks amazing, which makes up for the lack of taste. Can be a bit heavy for some, all motivation will be lost, which makes it a great stress reliever and sleep aid.

Too bad this one bagseed phenotype is a nightmare to grow. Pollen and seeding crops is not in my future so this is a one time grow. Was fun while she lasted.
