Dear fellas,
I know Ill get some critisizes regarding my abit-early-harvesting, but the thing is im so restricted in time, where I do have to sign off within 2 weeks, and i chose to smoke small cured buds over fat quick-dried buds. Also in the past few days i barely noticed any development with the buds size, even though mostly 90% of the pistils curled and turned amber and about 60% of the trichoms turned milky-white, i guess the issue is in the plants/container size, where it is relatively small.
anyway, ive been watering with bottled/distilled water for the past 3 waterings, in a ratio of 1:3, so it was some kind of flush, not what i hoped for but i got short in time anyway.
I'd like to speak abit of my experience, as a first time grower i found joy that i was not expecting caring for this plant, up from seed till harvest, mending her illnesses and observing every single change occured within its lifespan, guess i just found a new hobby.
as previously mentioned, my setup consists of peatmoss as growing medium (around half to one liter total quantity), single seed (bag seed which turned to be female afterwards), 2 LED lights ( one blue - 15 watt / one red - 12 watt, see pictures attached), NPK 18-18-18 soluable rock-shaped (black colour, i used to apply sensefully, without any instructions, i do have good gardening experience), Nestle bottled water as main for watering (though all time mixed with different ratios of distilled water/NPK water, PH maintained on 6.7-7.0 at all times using vinegar / baking soda), homemade CO2 generator (two bottles with yeast/sugar mixture in on of them, google that), and alittle bit of patience and enjoyment.
- seed germinated (paper towel): 19.09.17
- seed planted in peatmoss: 23.09.17
- seed sprouted: 25.09.17
- end of veg. Start flowering 12/12: 28.10.17
- switch light to 11/13: 03.11.17
- harvest: 01.01.18
flowering time: ~9 weeks
Total time: ~14 weeks (~3.5 months)
I threw the large fan leaves, kept the ones close to the buds, trimmed the buds totally and kept the sugar leaves, i got 1 large bud (main cola), around 18 dense sticky popcorn buds sticking together along the main stem, i started to remove them one by one but then just left the half of them on stem, as well as 3 or 4 other medium sized buds.
The plant is definitely Indica, most likely Lebanese strain, which is the common strain that grows in my area, the aroma is astonishing, smells of citrus/earth i would say, and the harvest is sticky as ive never seen.
i've quick dried a buddlet as a testing sample, and im so content with the result, which is very good for a quick dried sample, the high gave me contentment feeling, relax and most likely couchlock stance, ive slept and wokeup to futy after 3 hours still feeling its effwlect haha xD.
It was my pleasure guys to know you and chitchat with you, ill be always an observer on this good website and will keep you updated on my next grow, when i get the chance to do so xD
self tested: 5$ can grow you a kick-ass joint!!
I'll leave you with some pictures of the harvest day, please never hesitate to post any comment/advice ♡♡
