ID:	142990 Hello. I'm growing some blue dream & gsc strains. I'm about 2-3 weeks away from harvest time and my flowers aren't as big as I was hoping.
will they fatten up more in the last few weeks or is it pretty much full grown?
the blue dream flowers are almost double in size as the gsc as of now.

They look good. They will fatten up the last few weeks. Give them some sugar water to help. Either white sugar or Blackstrap molasses , one to two teaspoons per gallon of water is what Ive heard. Dont forget to flush out the nutes the last two weeks.

Yuroknative, buds typically fatten up a lot in the last few weeks. It would be nice to see a closer view of a couple of colas to help more. How long has it been since you saw pistils forming? I count flower time from when pistils first show. Most of my grows have been strains that say 8-10 weeks but that is more like 12-13 weeks from when I flip them to 12/12. Three things to look for: breeders flower time estimate, pistils brown / red and curling back in to the buds and trichomes (clear, cloudy, amber). You'll need a digital microscope or jewelers loupe to check the trichomes. Mostly cloudy with a few amber is a common time to chop

Morning Yuro, nice, great job , what kind of soil do you have in your pots .
I've seen buds literally double an triple in size ,in the last 2 or3 weeks. All I have ever used is unsulfered molasses, which will lower your ph at least a half point for every tablespoon you use so be careful, any how looks like you have still got a little time left for them to get larger. You've done great ,those are pretty.
Cfls for a week or two
        315lec for everything else
Dug up Ms.topsoil, with perlite added
        36x36x63 inch tent.
6inch - exaust - intake fans an scrubber
        Smart pots
        Molasses

What is ur light and how far away is it? Are u giveing them proper nutes? Are u giveing them a pk booster (this is very important for size) and like my fellow growers said are u giveing them sugars? This helps as well. the things that matter for bud size are genetics, light 100watts per sqf, co2 level 400-1500ppm, (800-1000is best unless u have a crazy amount of light then up2 1500ppm). Nutes you need a gd base plus a strong pk like 50/34, carbs any sugars will do, humidity lower the better under 40rh, temp 65-75, any higher or lower and bud growth slows. P.s with ur lights a good rule of thumb is 1inch per 10watts in flowering. The closer ur lights the more usuable enegry ur plants get but also remember the closer ur lights the more co2 u need. Happy growing

I'm sorry but I don't understand the one inch per 10 watts , I thought it was like 16 inches for 1000watt hps 14 inches for 600 watt hps maybe a little closer if your using co2,

              Thank you for your replys.
I'm using fox farms ocean soil medium with the foxfarms nute's, I also just recently started adding molasses to the mix about 10 days ago.
I have 2 1000w hps bulbs aprox 18" above top of cola's. I have a pretty decent ventilation system with in and out going air with a couple of fans.
I started seeing pistils about 7-10 days after switching to 12-12, and I still have over half white hairs on my flowers. I did buy a digital microscope that I'm anxious to use.
I've never used co2 and I was curious if I really needed it...?
another concern was my temp. I got the RH pretty close to where I want but my temp is 84-88 when the light at on....is that to hot for final weeks of flowering?
I'll get in there an take some new pics of the ladies when I get home from work. They literally look like they almost doubled in size over the past week.

Thank u everyone for your advice and I look forward to sharing more and asking more questions.

Morning, yeah that's getting kinda hot for a tent, I used to always grow outdoors, plenty of different years the temps would be way hotter than 88.
Read Nebulas articles about co2, if you can't get the temps down, I would definitely keep them defoliated and have a good breeze blowing on them 24 hours a day. Silica an kelp will also help them with stress.
                Good Luck

Good Morning. I'm growing in an old garage/shed but I tried to make it as sealed as possible (besides the blowers pushing air in & out) and ya it's still in the mid to high 80's. I just bought a co2 bag off of amazon to hang above the plants, it was semi cheap so I thought why not, only prob with that is that it won't get here for another week.
I've defoliated alot of leaves already (or at least i thought it was alot). I read somewhere that the plants needs the leaves to pull nutrients from in the late stagesof flowering so I didn't wanna scalp the plants to much....Idk maybe i should.
silica & kelp? I havnt heard of that technique I will definitely remember that.
thank u for taking time to give me some advice.

Edges of the leaves are turning up, Probably thats the heat or lights too close maybe.

Ya the leaves are like that on all the plants. I thought it was nutrient deficiency so I flushed them. There looking better now so hopefully everything will be ok....
I also had a run in with powder mold, but only on the gsc strain. The blue dream never had any powder mold but we had spider mites on a couple diff occasions. Thankfully we caught them early stages.
