Just turned 50 and have only been growing since Massachusetts legalized, but having a great time and so grateful for all the advice from all of you young and old.

Turned 67 last Sunday.

Never smoked marijuana in my life. Not once, despite being in music and major-market broadcasting for a few decades.

[I accidentally ate a whole bunch once and was sick for three days, though!]

The advent of non-psychoactive sedative/analgesic strains, now legal for cultivation here in California, is a very attractive development. The pharmaceutical drugs I need are (for me) safe and effective, but I can't get them prescribed to me unless I'm inpatient, postoperative or terminal -- which fortunately I am not.

Rendered cannabis oils/butter for ingestion may take their place. This is an experiment, and an interesting one so far.

I do find the plant itself beautiful and fascinating.
