In regards to my last post, I screwed up. That's not the LED I used, although I do own it and use it as a side light. The plant I posted was grown under this one.
took these this morning

I found the HPS that can be found in small flood lights work awesome I picked up a 300w for $60 at local department store and grew 4, 5+ foot giants in a 2.5X2.5 spot and just about to harvest with one light

Yes. I live in Oregon and our rainy season is fast approaching and my girls will not be ready for harvest until the end of September or the beginning of Oct. When it rains and the wind is blowing there just isn't much I can do but try to move them inside.

CFL lights only produce nutrients 8 inch to a foot max away from the bulb so would have to be really close to the plant. I might look Into a different light for them.

Indoor Lighting Question
I have been growing outside but my girls will not be ready to harvest before it gets into our rainy season witch will be a problem for me. I have a finished 2 car garage and have 4 ceiling mounted fixtures with CFL lights that equal 240W and I was wondering if that is enough lighting so that if it rains I can bring the girls inside and keep them dry. If this is not enough wattage how much do I need? I can get bigger CFL lights or should I try to get something else? Any advice is appreciated and thanks in advance.Tags: None
