Tree bark and organic materials are what the package says, when they dry out it looks like a peat-moss. But good ones are spongy good stuff to use.

I keep them in my fridge, had them for a long time now, just run it under warm water and tada! works great and my germ rate is 100% so far using them

Not soaking wet ....the bag they come in keep it in a cool dark place (floor of basement? garage? they come out of the bag feeling kinda wet if it's dry throw it out ,but in hydro you can drown the seed so make sure the tube where water is going to the rooter is low not even with seed.

Remember they live with that rooter till the end!

Soak them in distilled or ph water. Squeeze them out firmly, water shouldn't drip from them at all. Keep it like that and let them dry out before spraying them again. Works for me anyway...
