Mine is 6.5 so I have to use ph down because I like 6.00 ..mix all the nutrients and hydroguard first then check ph level . Most likely you need down also, don't go to far or you'll get below 6.00Bubblehead

What is the ppm out of the tap? If u are under 200 you should be ok I think. Do you get any calcium build up in your sinks or anything like that (hard water stains, sulphur smell)? What nutes are you using? If you are using general hydroponics and the water is over 200 ppm they make a flora micro specifically designed for hard water. I guess it has different minerals or different quantities of minerals or something.
The water I use tests right around 225 and I have been using the regular flora micro for a long time now with no issues. I picked up a gallon of the micro for hard water just for kicks cause I read about it and didn't know they made such a thing and I had to see for myself if it makes any difference or not. (They are both priced within a dollar or two of eachother so that's nice). Like I said i have been using the regular micro for a long time without an issue even tho the water is technically "hard". I plan to start using the micro for hard water when my jug of regular micro runs out. I'll let you know if I notice any difference or not

- Tap water: 400ppm or below; 400 is high for tap water.
- Nutrient Water: 400ppm - 800ppm total
- DWC Reservoir water: 400ppm - 1000ppm

Just a question here but where did u get the info on ppm levels for dwc? I do dwc, the water I start with tests at 200ish before I add nutes I use general hydroponics 3 part flora nutes and most of the additives they offer. I use at roughly half strength (some I go a little heavier, some a little lighter) but I am not one of those guys that push nutes until I see burn then back off a little, I try to give em just what they need to thrive and no more, I don't want to fill my girls up with chemicals, more than what they need. Anyway what I'm getting at is that especially later in the flower cycle my ppm goes quite a bit higher than 1000. I have had really good success doing it this way both in the quality and yield department, without tasting a chemical harshness in my buds. Do you run a dwc and keep it under 1000ppm all the way thru flower? If you do what's the general overview of your feeding schedule? What nutes are you using? I just don't know how I could keep it under 1000 and not have my plants wanting more. I am happy with my current process, but if there is a way to put less chemicals thru my plants and still get the same results I am all ears and very interested in how to do it. I hope to hear back from you on this. Thanks
