    Homemade LED grow light.

Hey everyone.... hope all is well. Has anyone made there own LED grow light? There so expensive and I found 2, 16ft strips of LED grow lights on Amazon. Here's the finished light. Is there anything I should know?

Have you been growing those plants under your homemade light their whole life? Because they're making flowers so it seems to be working. May not yield much but it doesn't look expensive to operate. I'm interested to see how it works out for you. Good luck.

Tman72 I've seen some great results from gwe members using cfl's. Maybe use both lights together just in case those led's aren't enough?
I'm a fan of DIY. Good luck.

Howdy Tman72, That is awesome!! Please, when You can, give us more details about the lamp, power supply, cooling (if it has it), and any other information that You can. I am using CFLs and would like to switch to LEDs, but the cost has been a deterrent and the little (cheap ones) on the web do not look as if they would be worth even trying. Thanks in advance.

It's a 12v power supply. No cool needed. I've only done clone w it so far. Results are good from what I'm swing.

Good job, something might look into if it works out well for you! Did you have to add any sort of control gear? Or are the LEDs fed straight from a power point?
Does the fan have an inverter to control the speed, or does it always operate at full speed?

No control gear needed, run right off the power supply. No inverter on the fan. Just runs on high.

That cheap 89 buck GH 300watt Led 150 watt at the wall was worth buying to me ,I just harvested my auto and got 6 an a half ozs, of stinky hard ass, dry buds ,I couldn't be happier, Gonna buy 2 more lights just like my first one, they don't get hot an don't use much electricity. Damn, good cheap lights in my book they don't all have to cost thousands for them to be good growing lights, Read Nebulas selections on LEDs on GWE.
